A dark brown tabby she cat padded back and forth on the river bank, her creamy white patches were pure and her eyes shone bright green. With a gentle breath, she poised herself at the edge of the water and waited.

Rippaw crouched at the edge of the riverbank, his blue eyes swiveling back and forth. Fish. Fish. And water, both the lifeblood and wild beast of RiverClan. The cameo tom was supposed to be fishing, but it was hard to concentrate when – well, when she-cats lurked nearby. She-cats who weren't bad-looking. And –
Oh, who was he kidding? As far as she-cats go, this one was downright attractive. He recognized her vaguely as a fellow apprentice, Lilypaw, though he hadn't had the chance to approach her much. And where Rippaw was concerned, in a battle between hormones and duty, hormones usually won out. She shook the dampness from his fur and stood, making a point of stretching luxuriously before he padded nearer. And then ... his mind went blank. "Waiting for something?" He asked her, his eyes searching, then swore inwardly. Of all the stupid things to say. Captain Obvious has struck again! he thought drily.
-
Lilypaw looked back at him. "I was waiting for that over-sized pike to come closer but since you have greedy shadow. It's gone." she gestured to the large copper pike that darted into the deeper waters. "That could've fed every kit in the Clan." she muttered and looked over at him. Cheeky, hormone crazed cub!
-
Ah. He knew the type. Guarded, disdainful. Not that Rippaw was at all a stranger to such treatment by she-cats. He just shot her a wry smile and flicked his cameo tail, bending over the water again. He would be a warrior soon — he'd fought in some of the biggest battles in recent memory, and had the scars to prove it — and yet still had little luck in the romance department. It had its own strange brand of humor, he thought, and lashed out a paw at a passing minnow.
The silver fish darted away, but he moved even faster, flipping it out of the water. "There you go. That'll feed ... what? Half a kit? Don't say I didn't help you." He gave a crass mrow of feline laughter, blue eyes narrowed.
-
Lilypaw rolled her green eyes, her unusually long, feathery tail billowed in the soft winds. "You know it's not hard to catch real prey." her mew was strangely soft and gentle. Her eyes gleamed as an orange carp floated past. She shot out her paw and hauled the carp onto the shore and killed it with a swift blow. She purred contently then looked over at Rippaw.
-
Sweetpaw,a white she-cat with golden splotches and golden eyes, padded over to Lilypaw."Oh,hi Lilypaw. What are you doing?"she asked with a smile.
-
She turned around and glanced at Sweetpaw. "I'm great! How're you?" she asked, her head upside down and looking at the she cat.
-
ooc:she asked "what are you doing?" not "how are you?"
-
OOC: Sorry, I read it wrong
I read it as "How're you doing?" -
ooc:i know its okay.
"What are you doing?"she repeated. -
"Fishing. I've already caught a fish or two." she mewed.
-
"Can I join in?"she asked.
-
"Fine by me." she mewed, smiling. Her green eyes flickered towards the water.
-
Sweetpaw turned to the water and suddenly noticed a tom on the other side of the river."And who might this be?"
-
"Rippaw." she answered. "He's pretty much stalking me now. Making jokes, complimenting me, it's wierd." she rolled her eyes at the cameo tom.
-
Sweetpaw laughed. "Well whadda ya know! I bet he likes you,Rosepaw,"she smiled.
-
OOC: It's Lilypaw, not Rosepaw. Mistakes happen y'know
"Heh, yeah right! No tom could take an interest in me, I'm not even a warrior yet." she hissed. "But when I do become a warrior, I'd like to be called Lilyshine or Lilyheart when I'm older."
-
"So what if you're not a warrior? I think you're pretty, and I bet this tom does too."
ooc:oops lol. Rosepaw was from another rp -
"Oh wow." she muttered.
OOC: Wow this is total deja vu.
-
ooc:lol is that really the way you spell it cuz i never knew how
ic:Sweetpaw looked at her then she turned her head to the water. She made sure her shadow didn't hover over the river. Then she splashed he paw in and brought out a plump fish.
