Shaderise sat by the river, letting the cool breeze ruffle her fur. She didn't really feel like being in camp, it was boring there, so she'd told some of the cats she was going hunting. She didn't feel like doing that, either. But sitting by the river gave a good illusion of her doing so. There was a slight danger of her getting in trouble, but it wasn't something she really cared about; newleaf was here, the weather was getting warmer, there was plenty of prey for other cats to catch. she was much more content sitting here.

Smokefoot padded over to Shaderise.
-
Shaderise didn't hear him coming, she was far too occupied with her own thoughts.
-
"Hey Shaderise." Smokefoot mewed sitting next top her and looking out into the river
-
Smokefoot looked over at Shaderise.
-
"Hi," she smiled, blue eyes flicking over to his face.
-
"Hey, how are you." Smokefoot mewed smiling
-
"I'm fine," she said, eyes bright and clear as she gazed down into the depths of the river. "It's really pretty, isn't it?"
-
"Yep" Smokefoot mewed looking at the water and the fish swimming under it
-
"You know, I've never felt this way about any other cat..." she murmured, nuzzling under Smokefoot's jaw. "Or any cat, for that matter..."
-
"I never felt this way too" Smokefoot purred
-
"It's... it's like I'm lightning and you're my thunder," she went on, trying to articulate her feelings, "We're two pieces that fit together perfectly... I'm sorry. I must sound so ridiculous..." she chuckled nervously, backing away out of Smokepaw's space. Her eyes were glued to her paws, a hot flush creeping beneath her fur.
-
"You don't sound ridiculous. " Smokefoot mewed stepping closer to her
-
"Of course I do," she shook her head, ears flat on her skull, "I mean, I guess I'm really happy to have you and I don't want to scare you away or anything like I did my mum and I'm just really afraid of being alone again and oh, Starclan, I'm ranting..."
-
"I think it's cute." Smokefoot mewed
-
And.. the hot prickle of embarrassment was back. "R-really?"
-
"Really." Smokefoot mewed his green eyes looking into her eyes
-
"Oh," she smiled, ears perking at the complement, "Th-thanks."
-
He purred
-
She smiled at him, eyes reflecting the light of the moon.
