Amber was standing on her metal plate 'sixty seconds...' she thought 'sixty seconds untill im dragged into hell....' her lavender eyes locked on a bow and a arrow seath.
Jackson watched from his tv in district 4 with his little sister Misty."Misty I wish I told her before she left." he said
"Tell her what Jackson?"
"Nothing you're to young."
"You always say that!" she whined
"Just watch the tv."
"Fine." she muttered
Misty all of the sudden wrapped her arms around his leg "i don't want her to die!"
when Amber heard a sound, she dashed for the bow and arrows. grabbing them swiftly. she turned around to see a knife flying right at her. she ducked and landed right on a backpack. Amber scrambled up and dashed into the light forest ahead.
"She's not going to Misty. Look she just dodged a knife." he said lifting her up.
Amber kept on running, her mind was racing.
Misty looked at the screen.
"Please don't die Amber." he mutered
Amber cried in pain as a knife skinned her side. she whipped around and got tackled by the girl in D1.
"arnt you just so cute?" The girl said, holding a knife to Amber's throat "you must have a boyfriend, lets say goodbye to him"
Amber gasped for air.
"No!" he screamed and stood up quickly.
Misty barried her head in Jackson's shoulder.
The girl snickered "say goodbye District four, go ahead"
Amber gasped again.
"It's going to be ok sis." he said but didn't believe it himself
Amber reached for a knife by her hand.
He sat down and watched. He didn't want t start crying.
Amber grabbed the knife and stabbed the girl in the neck, making her collapse off of her. Amber sucked in air and stared in horror at what she just done.
"Amber!" Jackson said watching in horror.
Misty shook in fear at what her sister did.
Amber scrambled up as she heard the cannon, grabbing her pack and her bow and arrows. she disappeared farther into the forest.
"Didn't see that coming Mist." he said
Amber climbed a tree when she was far away from the Cornacopia. she layed on a branch and panted.
Misty continued to watch "at least she is still alive" she whispered.
"Maybe she can make it back home."
Amber looked in at the fake night sky. the anthem of Panem came on and they showed the deaths 'girl from 1.. thanks to me.. boy from 2, both from 3 and girl from 11' she thought '19 left'
"i hope" Misty said in her tiny voice.
"19 left. The odds are definetly not in her favor." he said
