Crystalpaw in need of good friends

    Crystalpaw immediately saw the rabbit she'd caught earlier, though she had some trouble getting the rabbit to the apprentice den. "Here, Snakepaw, eat." Then Crystalpaw settled down next to Snakepaw and began grooming his fur.

    "Thanks so much," Snakepaw purred in delight as Crystalpaw began the beginning of sharing-tongues. "Why don't we both eat?" he suggested. "You must be about as tired as I am and as hungry."

    "Okay," Crystalpaw meowed. " You take the first bite." Crystalpaw tried to leave as much rabbit as possible for Snakepaw, though after she ate a quarter of the rabbit, she felt stuffed. "I can't eat anymore...you eat. I'm stuffed!"

    Snakepaw giggled. "Wow, this rabbit is too fat for us," he chuckled. "Who's ever heard of a rabbit too big for two apprentices. I'm stuffed too." Snakepaw went to grooming Crystalpaw. "We can save the rabbit for a midnight snake- wait. It's past midnight!" he remarked, surprised by how the time had passed so fast.

    Crystalpaw smiled and poked her head out the den. "Woah..I mean, its WAAAAAY past midnight. It's dawn!"

    Elmpaw went out to the forest. She really needed to make dirt, but the dirt-place was full. Finding a bush, she sat down and jumped up when she heard voices. " Welcome to SnowClan, sleepy-head!" she heard Snakepaw said. Peering though the bush, she saw the pretty white 'paw, Crystalpaw, leap up, embarsted. Elmpaw went through the bushes and mewed gently "Hi, guys. I heard you through the bush. Hope you don't mind....."

    "It's fine," Crystalpaw meowed. "Come on in the apprentices den." Then she turned back to Snakepaw. "Are you still tired?"

    "No, not anymore," Snakepaw smiled. "I could never fall asleep with you around . . . " he murmered as he touched Crystalpaw's pelt with his.

    Crystalpaw gave a little sigh. Snakepaw's warm pelt comforted her. "You know, Snakepaw, you are one of the only cats I really care about."

    A sleek silver tabby she-cat with snowy white paws and olive green eyes padded over to the apprentices, tiredness making her paws shake as she walked. Her eyes were glazed over but a smile plastered her face. "Hey, apprentices," she mewed. "Are you on the dawn patrol? I haven't seen you on a patrol in a while. You can come with me, and join mine, if you want," she meowed hopefully. "It's okay if you don't want to, but I need someone else to come with me."

    "Really?" Snakepaw felt happy for Crystalpaw to say that to him. "I feel the same for you too," he said as they snuggled against each other. Snakepaw than heard a voice, jolting him awake. "Who are you?" he asked the silver tabby. "We were just on a hunting patrol. Why are you here?"

    Crystalpaw butted Snakepaw in the shoulder playfully. "She's a warrior, duh!" Then Crystalpaw noticed the she-cat's tiredness. "Are you okay? You look tired. Maybe you should eat something and get some rest. It's Crystalpaw's remedy for tired cats!" she joked.

    "Oh right," Snakepaw said stupidly. "But what's she doing in the apprentices den?" he asked, whispering to Crystalpaw.

    Crystalpaw shrugged. "We don't even know her name," she whispered back. "She might be a huge apprentice! But I think she might be here to ask us for the hunting patrol."

    "Don't you mean what is your name?" Crystalpaw asked Snakepaw. "She told us she's here for asking us if we want to go on a hunting patrol."

    The she-cat purred. "My name is Petalstrike." she mewed. "I'm sorry. I didn't see you on the hunting patrol." She turned to Crystalpaw. "Thank you for the offer," she smiled, "but I'll eat after I've hunted for the clan. I have no one else to join my patrol."


    ooc: guys...my computer is shutting off! c u 2morro!

    Snakepaw was a bit confused. "You're a warrior," he mewed. "Why would you ask us to join you? We're just apprentices while you're a full warrior."


    OOC: Okay, nice to meetcha.

    Crystalpaw thought for a moment. "Maybe all the other warriors are occupied? Maybe we're the only cats not on duty?" Then Crystalpaw looked at Petalstrike. "But its newleaf," she meowed. "I'm sure there's enough prey for you to get something to eat?"
