    "B-b-but..." Crystalpaw tried to think of something smart to say. "It did come out of the water! You can go look in the trees! It's there!"

    Iceheart started to shake her head, but she thought better of that. She sighed and flicked her tail at the apprentice. "Led the way."

    "It's over here!" Crystalpaw eagerly jumped over to the trees. She went deeper and deeper...but there was no sign or it, not even a scent trail. "Maybe I went the wrong way," she meowed to Iceheart.

    Crystalpaw sniffed the air. She smelled nothing but trees and a quivering mouse nearby. "Um...I can't smell anything," she admitted. "But I was so sure... there was something..."

    Iceheart gave the apprentice a sorry smile. "Don't worry about it. If we see it we see it. And, I'll tell the warriors to keep a look-out for anything...strange." she said.
