Moonstar padded out from her den and gathered a night patrol.

"Why?" Dappledpelt asked.

Moostar sighed, "Because we need to keep the perimeters safe!"

Moonstar heaved in heavily, "Okay, I just need time alone! So take out this patrol!!!"

"Fine!" Dappledpelt sighed.

Moonstar sighed and lay down in the clearing.

"Should I go too?" Waterfur asked.

"No" Moonstar said. "I wanted to be alone with you." she pressed her muzzle into his flank.

"Okay." He purred.

Moonstar got two pieces of fresh-kill from the pile and gave the bigger one to Waterfur.

"No. You have it. You should be expecting kits."
