  • Strawberry cheesecake. 'Tis my favorite.
I wrote this poem when I was like, depressed or something, so here goes nothing!
If hugs were worth $1 each,
    I would have no money
If friends were all you needed to survive,
I wouldn't be able to survive
If rainbows and hugs were used as light,
I would be left in the dark
If hope could solve all of our problems,
I would be stuck with mine
If songs sung by friends could save you,
I would be lost to darkness
If there were blue skies all around,
I would have a gray one
If only one person would show me kindness,
    I wouldn't be so alone
If someone could see past my looks,
I would start to believe in hope
If a stranger would smile at me,
I think my sky would start to turn blue
If only the world weren't so cruel

  • Thanks. It makes me feel happy inside to see that someone liked it. I thought it was too depressing.

    Through the night

Will i make it through the night?
    i look into the darkness..
and all i see is the devil coming for me.
    I run away,
    but it doesnt work.
    He arises while i sleep,
and finds me then puts a curse on me.
I woke up, and saw the darkness coming for me.
    I got up and ran,
but all i did was fall into his den.....

  • I Love Chocolate! I like to write funny simple poems
    I was running a race
    And I tripped and fell
    Onto my face
    And into a well!

I Do more serious ones too!

  • Aw that's so cute, Runningstorm!
Can you post one of your serious ones? I'd like to read it :3

  • Ok well you might get really like depressed or confuzzled because I love free-verse

    AIR
    Diving deep into the blue
Colorful creatures come into my gaze
Sea horses, Manta rays, And Reef sharks
I Dig my fingers into the soft sand
And push myself up to fill my lungs
With the sweet sensation of air
I Dive back down to the hidden wonders
A let my hands crawl around the coral
Seaweed tickles my feet and stomach
I let little fish swim around me
Swallow my body into a living reef
my lungs are screaming for air
I let my body rise and take those wonderful
    Breaths of air

  • The devil.

    The devil awaits..
    For his next kill..
    I walk into the forest,
    and find him waiting..
    He comes at me,
    And says..
    'Your time is now gone!'
    I run screaming..
    but its no use.
    Hes already loose..

  • Oh cool! I havn't heard of him though....

Here's a poem I like, if you'd like to read it. It's very long

    Incomplete Lullaby

Like a turning head, like a second look,
Like a burning page, of an open book,
Like a pounding sea, like a messy line,
When your eyes first met with mine.

Like a broken word, like a tragic smile,
Like a thousand steps, or a single mile,
Like a lonely glance, like a savage glow,
When you turned and said hello.

I was just about to go,
There were flowers on the ceiling,
    You left me feeling....

Like a fading voice, like a closing door,
Like a dozen lies, and a dozen more,,
Like a twisted tongue, like a distant bark,
When we broke out into the dark.

    Stars looked like burning sparks,
The lights were warm, but chilling,
    You left me feeling...

Tired, but could not close my eyes.
On fire, but frozen in time.
    To run or to hide?

Speechless, my words could not be heard
    Whispered, I wanted to shout
    Without you I felt

Like a fleeting though, like a double light
Like a gentle field, of of a warming taste,
Like a lovely touch, like a cool wind blow
When you stopped and held me close.

    Until I nearly froze,
    You touch is almost healing,
    You left me feeling.

Tired, but could not close my eyes
On fire, but frozen in time,
    To run or to hide?
Speecheless my words would not melt,
    Whispered, I wanted to shout,
    Without you I felt...

Like a setting sun, like a last goodbye,
    Like a incomplete lullaby..
