    Sagekit pounced onto Ivykit. She topped over, bumping her head on the wall. "Ow!" she said, rubbing her head.

    Ivykit watched Sagekit hit her head, laughing a bit before purring, "You alright, Sagekit?" He wondered, look at the she-kit his mother had adopted after the battle when Sagestar lost her life.

    "Yeah! Let's play with the moss ball."she suggested. Sagekit got a moss ball from the bush which she hid and threw it to Ivykit.

    Ivykit smiled and purred then pat his paw at the ball of moss, pushing it back to her.


    As Ivykit hit it and it rolled, Brackenkit came up and snatched the ball before it reached Sagekit before running away.


    Smokekit followed after Brackenkit then Ivystkit went after him, yelling at him to give the ball back.

    Tanpelt came back to camp with a large rabbit. "I caught this just now, do you want it?" He said dropping his catch next to the playing kits.

    "Hey! That's my special ball. It's all I had left of Mama!"she called. She remembered playing with her mum with the moss ball and she kept it but it was the only thing left apart from some of her fur with her sweet scent in which she hid in a crack in the wall and sometimes hugged at night, crying and wishing that she didn't die.

    Ashfeather then intercepted her kits, taking the moss ball from Brackenkit, who shrank back in apology. Padding over to Sagekit, she dropped the ball right next to the kit before licking her head to sooth the little she-kit. "There, there, little one. You're ball is completely safe," She soothed. She looked up at Tanpelt and nodded to him. "Thank you, Tanpelt. I'll share it with the kits."


    Brackenkit apologized to Sagekit, knowing his mother would have him do it anyways.


    Shatteredstar and Silverwing sat together, sharing tongues.

    "Thank you!" she said. She ran over to Ivykit. "Let's play with it with only us two. I know you won't steal it from me. It's all I have left from Mama." She started crying and went to the crack in the wall and got the fur and started hugging it.

    Ashfeather purred with satisfaction then went back to lay in her nest again. Brackenkit and Smokekit decided to play together then instead.


    Ivykit, seeing Sagekit sad, became a bit worried. He hurried over to her and nuzzled her, trying to comfort the she-kit. "It's okay, Sagekit. Ashfeather's here. She'll care for you like Poppyheart did! And you always have Silverwing and Shatteredstar," He reminded her of her father and uncle.

    Runningstorm had just walked walked back into the camp from a hunt and called out to his kits, who poked their heads out of the nursery "Softkit, Greykit! I brought you a moss ball to play with"
    The two kits ran out of the nursery towards their father with Sandfur walking behind them. Runningstorm tossed the moss ball to his kits and then walked over to share tongues with Sandfur, his mate
