  • Starsoul dipped her head and allowed Willowtail to lean against her for support. "We're almost there..." She reassured her. She didn't know if Willowtail still felt dizzy, so she wanted to make sure to tell her that they wouldn't be walking for much longer. She looked back to see if everyone else was following them. And sure enough, she could see Bramblefire. She nodded to him in a gesture as if to tell him that Willowtail seemed to be getting better. She couldn't help but feel a twinge of awkwardness. She knew that Willowtail was one of the cats fighting to be Bramblefire's mate, and she honestly didn't know who he should chose. She knew who she thought would be the perfect match for him, but she told herself that it was HIS decision. NOT hers.

  • Willowtail's legs where a little shaky and she was very grateful for Starsoul's support

  • Bramblefire started to follow Starsoul, but decided to go hunting instead. He needed to have some time by himself, to think about his destiny and Foxdapple. He wondered if he should choose Skystream as his mate. She was nice enough, and understood his feelings. And there was Willowtail, who seemed strange, but still, very nice. And there was Dovefeather. She was the first cat who had liked him, and also very nice. Bramblefire wanted to yowl," GREAT STARCLAN HOW HARD IS IT TO CHOOSE A MATE?!?" but he only said that in his head. He realized he hadnt even been looking for prey, so as he headed back to camp, he caught an old injured rabbit.

  • Willowtail closed her eyes and took a deep breath, all she could see was her sister, Heatherpaw. After falling out of that tree she remembered how Heatherpaw got killed when she fell out of a tree. They were training together and Heatherpaw got up too high. When she fell, Willowtail was changed forever

  • Skystream glanced at Starsoul.
"Thanks for bringing Willowtail back to camp," she mewed, "It was a huge help," Skystream's eyes were wid with concern. But the concern wasn't about Willowtail.
"Starsoul," Skystream started, "Is Bramblefire okay? He seemed a little.... Well overwhelmed. I think it because of all the she-cats pestering him. He must be really annoyed. Did- did he say anything bad about me when you guys were talking. I mean, if you don't want to tell me, I understand. It's just if I upset Bramblefire, I would never forgive myself."

  • Bramblefire padded into camp with an old rabbit in his jaws. He set it on the fresh kill pile and chose a plump thrush and went to eat by himself.

  • Starsoul sighed as she thought of her friend. "Don't worry Sunstream." She tried to reassure her. "You haven't done anything to upset him, nor has anyone else." She stared at her with her big green eyes. "He is just under a little bit of stress. He has a big decision to make, and it's not easy on him. He just needs time to think. You'll see he will be better in no time." She smiled at Sunstream.

  • Willowtail sat at the entrance of the medicine cat den, she didn't move at all. Her gaze was filled with grief and remeberence

  • Skystream's stomach growled. She blushed.
"Thanks, Starsoul" Skystream mewed, "Ill be right back. Right now, I need some fresh-kill,"
She padded out of the stuffy warrior's den and felt a wave of fresh air. A smile slowly spread across her face. Tonight was beautiful. Skystream glanced up at the sparkling, shimmering, stars. The night sky was clear and there was a fresh scent in the air. She padded to the fresh-kill pile, her eyes closed, navigating by smell only.
She was almost reluctant when she reached the pile. She was enjoying the peaceful breeze.
Skystream bent down and grabbed a small vole. She didnt have much of an appetite tonight. But she forced to settle down and gobble down her food.
After she ate, she just sat there, looking up at the stars.
The wind carried a comforting scent to her. She recognized it as Bramblefire.
Skystream got up and followed the scent until she found the handsome tom, sitting alone.
"Do you mind if I join you? I understand if you want to be alone."

  • Willowtail glanced down at the bird next to her feet but she didn't touch it and put her gaze back on the woods

  • "No it's fine. Who'd want to be alone on a night like this," Bramblefire smiled as he gazed at Skystream. Then he turned his gaze back to the stars. He pointed to the brightest star with his tail."That's Foxdapple," he meowed softly, his mind filled with memories from when he and Foxdapple were apprentices. A sad look filled his eyes as he remembered how Foxdapple had died. Memories came rushing through of that day that the badgers attacked WindClan.

  • Willowtail saw the tree that Heatherpaw fell off and she felt a tear run down her cheek

  • Foxdapple appeared to Willowtail as she gazed at the tree her sister died beneath. "Hello Willowtail, you're remembering Heatherpaw aren't you? I have somthing to show you," she meowed as Heatherpaw stepped out of the shadows.

  • Skystream felt a wave of sympathy.
"She was an amazing cat. And it was brilliant when she came down from Star Clan to visit. I really missed her," Skystream sat down next to Bramblefire, "You and her are so alike, that it's almost scary," Skystream smiled.

  • Willowtail gasped "Heatherpaw?" She meowed and nuzzled her "I missed you so much. Thank you Foxdapple, for showing me her"

  • "She is here to assure you that all is well, and if Bramblefire doesn't choose you as a mate, don't worry, that may not be your destiny, and it may not be Bramblefire's either...." Foxdapple didn't finish her sentence before she and Heatherpaw disappeared in a blinding light.
