Rindlerun, the sleek lean blue lynx point she-cat, walked to the fresh-kill pile and realized it was nearly empty. Hmm... I should go hunting. She thought taking a vole and sitting down to bite into it. But I need someone to take with me... Who would want to come with me though?
Rindlerun needs friends!!!(everyone is welcome!)(needs an apprentice also)

Ghostspirt wandered into camp, her eyes showing the effects of yet again a sleepless night. Growling silently to herself, the she-cat looked up in front of her to the fresh-kill pile. She could see all kinds of smaller animals that were obviously fit for prey in the clan. Picking up a small mouse, the she-cat began to eat it. The food wasn't enough, but the clan was more important. The last thing the she-cat wanted to do was be a disrespecting cat to her clan. She was loyal to the core.
Looking over to Rindlerun, Ghostspirit could tell that something was going through the other she-cats mind. "Are you looking for someone to go hunting with you? If you are, may I join you?"
-
Mousefire walked up to Rindlerun and asked, "Do want to go hunting with me?" He was hoping not get rejected in the offer.
-
OOC: my character, Tidepaw needs a mentor, could your character be his mentor?
-
OOC: sure tidepaw!
IC: "Yes, thankyou Ghostspirit. Ad to you too Mousefire,"she said with welcoming in her voice.
When she finished eating she stood up and walked over to the apprentice den and called for tidepaw. "Tidepaw, do you want to go hunting?" She was looking for her apprentice -
Ghostspirit smiled, her mouth curved up as she waved her tail gently. "You're welome," she answered as her eyes softened and she took the time to look at the other she-cat directly. Directing her gaze back, Ghostspirit watched Rindlerun pad stiffly over to apprentices den and call Tidepaw. Did I frighten her? The thought ran breifly through the she-cat's mind before she shook it away to the back of her mind.
-
Rindlerun swiftly padded back toward Ghostspirit and Mousefire. "He'll be out in a second, he always takes forever."
Rindlerun sat down next Ghostspirit. "You seem troubled..."she looked at her thoughtfully and sympathetically, "And shy..." She tried to look into Ghostspirit's eyes and willed her new friend to look her back in the eyes. "Hey dont worry," she nudged her playfully "You've got a new best friend right here!" She purred, trying to reassure her shy new friend. -
Tidepaw poked his head out of the den and yawned
"Hunting? Sure!" he trotted out to join his mentor and Ghostspirit. He sat down, gave his tail a quick wash and stretched the sleepiness out of his muscles. -
"Everybody ready? Then lets go!"
-
As the Rindlerun's friends went hunting she showed her apprentice the right and wrong ways to hunt birds, fish, and forest floor prey and the differences that are not to be mixed up between them. "See? Now try to stalk just like Mousefire did when catching that mouse. And remember to put all your weight on your haunches, because the mice can feel you stalking toward them if your not careful enough." She had an encouraging, friendly, pep to her voice as she instructed, for she knew that would help better in positive training. That was the way her mother taught her the difference between right and wrong when she got in trouble as a kit.
-
While Mousefire watched Rindlerun teach her app. he thought "Wow! Rindlerun is such a great cat. She is so beautiful." His eyes soften as looked at her
-
Rindlerun pricked her ears, she heard a mouse. "You hear that?" She nudged her apprentice. "Use what Mousefire just helped me tech you, and dont worry if you mess up, there is plenty of prey in the forest since it's newleaf." she whispered encouragingly.
-
Ghostspirit followed silently behind, the words of Rindlerun came back to her head. Slowly the she-cat shook them away as she tried to focus on what she was doing, hunting. Pricking her ears up, the she-cat tasted the air with a satisfied nod of her head afterwards. Creeping over to the bush, Ghostspirit thrust her paw through and pulled a mouse out. Quickly killing it, the she-cat buried the creature and continued on with the group.
-
When Ghostspirit caught up, Rindlerun noticed the smell of mice on her, "Where did you bury it?" she asked, still paying attention to her apprentice also.
-
Mousefire was scenting the air when he smelled rabbit. he quickly went towards the direction the rabbit was in. He skidded to a stop to see a fox devouring the rabbit. He turned to run from the fox but it was too late. The fox saw him and lunged toward him to kill. Mousefire screamed "Help! FOX ON THE LOOSE!"
He fought off the fox for a while but the fox was too strong. -
The yowl of Mousefire scared the mouse Tidepaw was hunting. Acting fast Rindlerun Hurled herself toward the direction the yowl came from, then onto the fox's back. She unsheathed her claws into fox flesh as far as they would go, and bit into its shoulder with all her might as hard as she could, forcing the fox to let go of Mousefire and run away in fear. She rushed up to Mousefire, "Are you okay?" She asked hastily, panic in her voice.
-
"I am now but i... *winces in pain* I got bit in the leg and almost got my windpipe closed up by the jaws of the fox"
-
Oh no, then how am i going to get you to camp? Can you walk?" She asked, worried she might not be able to save him.
-
"I think I can but I need you nearby so if I fall I can have some help."
-
"Of course I'll be nearby," she purred to him reassuringly, then meowed "I'll literally be at your shoulder, now let's go before it's too late."
Once Mousefire got up Rindlerun quickly put her shoulder to his, willing him to lean on her, and they started to walk toward the camp.
