• Leafeye swam towards camp while carrying two voles in her mouth. It was difficult for her to swim without dropping them but she had to take them back to camp. They needed every fresh-kill they could get after the long leaf-bare. The young she-cat had only recently been made a warrior and she was struggling to keep up and make a good impression.

She reached the camp and quickly trotted over to the fresh-kill pile. It was almost full since most of the other cats that had been out hunting had returned already. Leafeye dropped of her kills before quickly making her way towards the warrior's den. "Hi ..." she meowed quietly to the cats in the den as she made her way towards her resting spot. She laid down with a sigh, her muscles were aching. Leafeye started to clean herself in order to get some of the mud out of her fur.

  • Not far behind Leafeye came a blue tabby; judging by the size of his shape and stature, one could accurately guess he was an apprentice. But not much more than that. From his faint but distinctive WindClan scent, to the streaks of color applied to his fur via a variety of berries, it was hard to tell what this tom was going for. Was it a plea for attention? Was he just eccentric? It was even more difficult to tell, given how nonchalantly he strolled into camp from the woodland beyond it.

He saw a RiverClan warrior slip into the warrior's den, but didn't call after her, instead continuing his path toward the Clan's fresh-kill pile.

  • A strange scent filled her nostrils and she instinctively jumped to her feet. "Windclan!" she hissed and threw herself out of the warrior's den. She quickly spotted the young tabby by the clan's fresh-kill pile. She yowled out a furious warning to get everyone's attention. "How could he get so far without being noticed?!" she thought. Even though Leafeye was usually shy and careful, her loyalty to her clan filled her with strenght and determination. She rushed forward and leaped towards the other cat to push him away from the clan's food. "And exactly what do you think you are doing?" she hissed against his ear. This was only a young apprentice that would be no match for any of the warriors of RiverClan.

  • Out of nowhere, he heard something that sounded like a fight break out behind him. He simply bent over to pick up one of the prey items from the pile when something crashed into him, and only then did he realize that he had been the one under attack.

"Whoa, whoa! Keep your fur on!" The tom tried to regain his balance after it was thrown off by the other she-cat's weight. "What are you so upset about? I'm trying to eat. Was there some kind of 'no eating' rule put in place while I was gone?"

He watched the warrior with all the incredulity in the world. It looked as though he really didn't know what she was in a fuss about.

  • Padding up from behind the apprentice, Rippletail gave both of them a curt nod, then looked to the other RiverClan warrior. "Be careful, Leafeye." His warning was almost a hiss, irritated at how neither of the two clans could at least act like they were getting along. "WindCLan will be back in their camp before you know it. But for now," the broad-muzzled tom mewed, casting his bright amber eyes to the fresh-kill pile, then back to the two cats, "We'll all just have to act like we get along."

  • Leafeye flinched and quickly backed off, cursing herself for her stupidity. "What am I doing?!" she thought too herself while avoiding to look at Rippletail. "I'm sorry Rippletail, I wasn't thinking ..." she meowed quietly. "Old habits I guess ..." she added. She glanced at the blue tabby, clearly embarrassed about her own behaviour. "I'm sorry ..." she meowed towards the tabby before crawling off towards the warrior's den again. "What is wrong with me?!" she thought. "How am I ever going to earn anyone's respect if I don't start using my head ...".
Leafeye sighed, she would have a hard time looking Rippletail in the eyes for quite some time. This was not how a warrior should behave, and she was well aware off it. "I shouldn't have been made a warrior at all" she thought with a sigh as she laid down in her resting place, her back turned against the entrance to the den.

  • THe tom watched the she-cat intently, his tail flicking as she laid down in her resting place. The silver and white tabby gave his claws a flex, padding up to her. "If you haven't been on a patrol yet," the young warrior mewed, two bright eyes darting to the entrance then back to Leafeye, "Or don't have to leave for one anytime soon, would you go on a hunt with me?" Rippletail flashed her a smile; he didn't like seeing any cat down or distraught, and wanted to cheer up the other warrior. WindClan had been in their camp for sometime now, and the reek of the rabbit-breathed cats have been driving some RiverClan warriors to arguments with them.

  • "Of course" she meowed quietly and nodded towards the tom before standing up. She avoided his gaze and added, "please don't tell anyone about before ...". Leafeye made her way to the entrance of the den and headed outside. She sighed in relief and took a deep breath of air. "They wont stay here forever, relax" she thought to herself as she glanced around camp, her eyes lingering a bit longer on the WindClan cats. She never really felt like she was a part of RiverClan, even though she had been born and raised here. And now these stranger came and pushed her further away from the clans zone of attention. She had no one in this clan, and she knew it.

  • As she got up, avoiding his gaze, he gave her a light nudge and flashed her a grin. "Don't worry," he mewed to her, his tail flicking slightly. "Everyone has been on edge lately; there's so many cats in the camp, and it's not like you tore off all his fur." The warrior let out a purr, giving a stretch as he looked around the outside of the camp. "It's going to be so nice to not have those complaining furballs in our camp."

  • The tabby remained still when another warrior approached, helping Leafeye calm down after her... food-related panic attack. The two thereafter dispersed and went about their lives while the young tom went back to the pile of fresh kill again, picking one out and taking a bite before his ears perked up; the two warriors were going to go out for a hunt.

"Hey!" He mewed around his mouthful of prey, swallowing before he hopped back over to them. "Can I come? Pleeeaase? None of the other warriors will let me go."

He didn't harbor any grudge against the warrioress that had almost attacked him. He got weird reactions like that from cats a lot -- you learned to deal.

  • "Thanks ..." she meowed softly and looked at Rippletail, thankful for his sympathy. "And yeah, it's just so frustrating, they act so confident. Like they have forgotten that they are guests here ...". She tensed her muscles a little in annoyance before relaxing again. "We should head out. Do you wanna go fishing or perhaps look for some voles?" she meowed towards the white tom.

She looked at the WindClan tabby as he approached them, doubting his intentions. She tensed her muscles and looked at Rippletail, waiting for his reaction.

  • Casting a look to Leafeye, he gave his lip a quick nibble; he just wanted to hunt with someone from his clan for once! After giving his lips a few more nips, he sighed, giving them a lick. "Yes, sure," he mewed, letting himself purr, even though it felt unnatural. "Now that our camp is swelling with cats, we'll need all the food we can sink our teeth into!" At the thought of food, the warriors stomach gave a slight rumble, and he covered it up with a little snort. "Now that leaf-bare is gone, the river should be ice free and we can get all the fish we need!"

  • He wasn't sure why they were acting so odd. He was a RiverClan cat, too, yet they were treating him like a cat from that... WindClan, or whatever. So maybe it had been commented that their scent was often on his fur, but what did they expect? They were living with WindClan right now, and he was sure that part of them smelled like the rival Clan, too.

Pah. He didn't like their hypocrisy.

Rising to his paws, he tried to ignore their less-than-friendly behavior and instead cheered right up. "All right! Let's go!"

  • She nodded and trotted off towards the camps entrance. She was still awfully embarrassed about her earlier behaviour and decided that she
would simply avoid the blue tabby.
She glanced back towards Rippletail with a faint smile before continuing out of RiverClan camp. It was a fine day, a warm breeze reached and made her long and get excited for the coming greenleaf. She kneaded the ground with her paws as she waiting for the others while looking down towards the river.

  • (Sorry dude, I was thinking you cat was from WindClan because it said, "From his faint but distinctive WindClan scent." in your first post.)

Rippletail gave the tom a nod, then followed after Leafeye, keeping a few steps back from her paws. "Ready to catch some fish?" He smirked, approaching the river. The tom poked his broad muzzle through the reeds, scanning the river for any ice, and with a satisfied nod, looked back to the other two cats. "The ice is all gone, we should get plenty of fish now!"

  • ooc. LOL it's totally okay XD I'm not irritated at all!

Colorpaw is odd. He's a 'second personality', and shares a body with Monopaw, the first personality (multiple personality disorder). Monopaw is a WindClanner, whereas Colorpaw believes he's a RiverClanner. So everyone is supposed to be confused x3

The blue tabby bounded after the pair of warriors, tail high in the air. No reason to let any of this get him down while they were out hunting! There were fish to catch, squirrels to chase! "So, who are you guys again? My name is Colorpaw."

  • "I'm Rippletail," the tom mewed in his sinister yet high-toned voice. He turned to the she-cat to introduce herself, busying himself by licking a few stray hairs on his broad chest. The warrior kept an eye on Colorpaw though, slightly narrowed and studying him, waiting for Leafeye to respond.

  • (ooc: Ah that explained it. And a very interesting plot you got there!)

Leafeye glanced back at the Colorpaw with a nod, "I'm Leafeye" she meowed before continuing down towards the river, eager to get started. With a few, quick leaps she positioned herself on a smooth, slippery rock by the edge of the river. She gazed down towards the water's surface, concentrating in order to see the shadow's of the fish that swam beneath.

  • ooc. thanks! <3

"Nice to meet you, Rippletail, Leafeye," He mewed. Honestly, he hadn't been outside of camp since he proclaimed himself an apprentice; he hadn't been able to get an official ceremony, and thus the leader had never given him a mentor. But he didn't let that stop him. He could just teach himself, no biggie -- or watch the warriors do their stuff.

They came to the edge of the river before long, and Colorpaw sat himself there, observing the other warriors expectantly. He couldn't hunt himself yet, but he was certain that after watching them do it once or twice, he'd be a pro.

  • Leafeye licked licked her lips as she stared intensively at a fish swimming by. She tensed her muscles and crouched, getting ready to dive. In one, powerful movement she dove into the river with her claws unsheathed. She pressed the slithering fish against the river floor before quickly bending down to crush its spine with her teeth. She jumped back up on the river bank with the dead fish in her mouth where she dropped it. "The fish are slow today" she meowed with a content purr.
