Ace whispered something under his breath before settling down to sleep.

Secretkit padded to the edge of the cave. "Ace," she whispered. "Can I stay with you? I've got nowhere else to go, and I'd like to be with you because I lo- because I feel safe with you." She looked up at him, her electric blue eyes begging.

"I'm Secretkit. I met Ace when he went to the river to drink. I was wondering if I could sleep with him and and his friends. Like I said, Ace, can I sleep with you?" Secretkit mewed.
