Character Name: Lala
Character Age: 14 moons
Gender: Female
Alliance: New Skulls
Rank: Peasant
Appearance:
Lala is not the most normal-looking cat. She's a munchkin, meaning that her legs are much shorter than your average feline's. This munchkin also has bright white fur and equally-bright green eyes. In other aspects, Lala is quite average looking; her face is rounded, her ears are gently perked, and her whiskers are a smidgen on the long side. Her nose is a soft pink, and her paws are a little small. The mix of oddities and usual features gives her quite a unique appearance overall and she has been perceived as both intriguing and unappealing.
Personality:
Lala is a mild-mannered cat, for the most part. Though her appearance makes her stand out, it is in her nature to try and blend in with her surroundings. She can make conversation when she needs to but is content to hang back and listen, too. Likewise, she can express her emotions but her reactions rarely rise to the level of extreme. There is one emotion, however, that she finds difficult in controlling--panic; Lala is prone to intense, rambling doomsday thoughts that can start at the slightest suggestion of disaster. Usually she does a good job in halting these kind of thoughts, but they do occasionally overwhelm her. She also hates fighting (both physical and verbal) unless it's avoidable and tries to be decent and respectful in most situations.
---Likes: Hunting, being "outside" in any weather, and nighttime.
--- Dislikes: Extreme darkness, confrontations, and big towns.
---Strengths: Hunting (especially in the winter), eavesdropping,
---Weaknesses: Lying, fighting, and she sometimes develops a stammer or trails off when speaking.
History:
Lala was born to two rouges who loved to travel. Her childhood was spent moving from place to place with her parents and sister; they never settled anywhere for long and were nearly always on the move. Lala's sister slowly began to detest this lifestyle and their parents, but Lala never grew tired of the stories they told or the places they went. It was because of these travels that she learned to become a decent hunter under many conditions, despite her pelt color. She also was able to pick up a rough style of fighting, though it wouldn't stand up against anything well-organized and is better used to stall long enough to retreat. When she was about 10 moons old, her sister ran away. At 12 moons, her parents left on a scouting venture and never came back. A distraught Lala went searching for them, but when she couldn't find them, returned to the spot they were staying and waited. Eventually, she got restless and knew she had to move on. As she wandered from place to place, still halfheartedly searching for any signs of her family, she crossed into Skull territory. She was promptly escorted back to camp and made a peasant. Presently, she's trying to keep her head low and stay out of trouble.
Roleplay Sample:
Thin raindrops fell from unseen clouds, passing through the cold night air as they made their descent to the earth. Some became tangled in the dying foliage, while others had nothing to stop them from plummeting straight into the ground. The small droplets would be absorbed into the greedy and insatiable earth, where they would disappear forever. All this Lala saw as she leaned forward, her light green eyes peering out from between tangles of weeds and shards of the a fallen tree. The peasant cat should not have been there, not that close to the camp entrance. How easy it would have been for someone to find her and accuse her of escaping, to punish her or drag her back to the peasant’s den, where the only light was the dulled touch of tainted moonlight and stars.
But the she-cat was willing to take her chances, for the night was beautiful in a way she had never experienced before. Though the clouds lent their moisture to the life below, the moon refused to be covered up. It shined in an almost defiant manner, pervading the darkness of the cave and casting her body in an unearthly mixture of glowing white and black shadows. The longer the white she-cat stood, observing the outside world, the stronger the itching in her paws grew. She wanted to leap forward, through the plants and into the night beyond.
She wanted out.
Of course, Lala was not about to abandon her senses just for a few moments in moonlight. In the week she had been a Skull peasant, the munchkin had been obedient, both unwilling and afraid to find out what would happen if she broke any of their rules. And so her paws continued to lay motionless on the ground, like two dead things attached to the end of her short and stumpy legs. Lala doubted she would get an escort. But some companionship from another cat, well that wasn’t too much to ask for, right?
Comments (optional): Roleplay sample is an example of an intro post; I usually write about 1-2 paragraphs for actual roleplay. :)
