  • i don't trust your group. I trust cheetahbreeze. she corrected silently. Bayna thought that this cat had no right to be questioning her, but then again, she was on their territory. Bayna choked down a sardonic reply, remembering that it didnt go so well last time.

"I have my reasons, cat." She meowed. Why did you choose HawkClan, when there's that gorgeous Boneclan, and Bloodclan. What about those fox-hearted shadowclan cats, why don't you go ask them if their trustworthy or not!? She thought with a slight shake of her head.

  • He shrugged. "By the way, do you want to be reported? 'Cause I could go to camp if you want, and maybe get a medicine cat...?" Tranquilveil figured that he could tell some of his friends about this tale, and perhaps get some opinions. He thought he wasn't making a good impression, but then again, she wasn't, either. So far. The green-eyed tom was wise enough to know that first impressions weren't everything.

  • Bayna knew being reported could help Plague, but remembrance of her earlier visit held her back. why do all HawkClan cats i meet always seem to be mouse-brains at first?! She decided she would wait till Cheetahbreeze got back with the herbs, for her friend seemed to know what she was doing.

  • "Hm? Did you decide on your answer, or are you gonna give me the silent treatment?" he said, after she didn't respond.

  • Cheetahbreeze came back with tons of herbs in her mouth. She set them down and she looked at the quarreling cats. "What in Starclan's name are you blabbering about?" she asked.

  • "This cat's been wondering if I wanted to be reported so we could get a medicine cat," Bayna said, turning pleading eyes on Cheetahbreeze, hoping she realizes that Bayna did not want to get involved with the bulk of HawkClan. "I figured you knew enough about herbs to help Plague..." She realized how selfish she sounded, risking Plagues health for the sake of her fears. what a great friend i am...

  • Plague flattened his ears, tail twitching. He, with his violent nature, did not like the others around. He glared at the other tomcat, tail lashing.
"It was the closest clan, furball." He spat, fury in his eyes.
"Now, put yourself in my position. Would you really just stroll on past a clan that is very capable of helping you? I think not."

  • Bayna's face showed a quick start of surprise before she quickly composed herself. She had never seen Plague like that, but she had never encountered any Toms nor She-cats with him in her company. She knew how he felt, for she hated being around many cats as well. Now she was reassured that being in the midst of the clan camp would only add anxiety and risk too much hostility. There's many things still hidden inside of Plague, despite his simple outer personality. She thought with a twitch of her whiskers.

"Cheetahbreeze brought some herbs." Bayna meowed to the injured Tom. She was careful not to over exaggerate that her and Cheetahbreeze knew and were friends with each other. That would only bring up unwanted questions.

  • Cheetahbreeze nodded and she gave Tranquilveil a hard look before she padded up to them and she meowed "Sorry it took me a while..." Her eyes were glued toward Bayna but her paws where helping the wounded cat.

  • "Thank you for this," Bayna meowed, dipping her head, "I'll be forever in HawkClan's dept" again, She thought afterwards, "We will get out of your territory as soon as Plague's ready to go." Bayna meowed politely.

  • Plague leapt back before any herbs of any sorts touched his paw.
"What is this mockery?! At first your pathetic clan gives us an unfriendly welcome then expect me to just take it and your "hospitality"? How dare you think I'm that ignorant and stupid!"

  • "Plague," Bayna growled softly, not hostile in the least, "Not all the cats here scorn our coming. Would you like Cheetahbreeze to heal you here, or would you like to be led in the midst of their clan, so all their warriors, kits, and elders can see us?" Bayna was uneasy here as much as Plague or anyone else, but Plague had to be reasonable. He needed that paw healed, or very soon he wouldn't be able to walk at all.

  • Cheetahbreeze's ears were a bit flat as she was taken back. But she kept her cool and she meowed "My patheic clan has shown me how to heal and I am a friend, but if you would rather lose your paw than your stubborness, I will be glad to leave" her voice was icy and her eyes showed no expression.

  • Plague ignored Bayna in the politest way he could think of. He glared at the she-cat, pelt bristling.
"I'm sure we could find some other clan that would take in a hurt cat without a second thought." He said, tone eerily even.

  • Cheetahbreeze snorted and she meowed "Without some scratches, and besides if you go any farther you'll find yourself with only three legs" she was known for being very stubborn and quick thinking but also fun if you got to know her.

  • While staying silent, the tom thought to himself Heh, these cats are interesting. Wonder if I should talk about this to someone later, because of duty and all. He yawned. I'll think about it later. Too tired right now. Tranquilveil had spent the day before just working and working without any sleep. That probably explained why he was feeling pretty cranky.

  • Bayna hid her head in her paws for a second, then frustration got a hold of her, "For starclan's sake LET HER HELP YOU! Then we can be on our way and you never have to see her again!!!" She meowed loudly, exasperated. "She's right about your paw, you know. Even someone as clueless as me could figure that out! Quit being the stubborn tom you are for once and let her help!"

Bayna's voice softened, "Sometimes, you have to trust strangers to help you in a time of dire need." Her meow went quiet, remembering how her and Plague met.
