Shadow( http://i1138.photobucket.com/a…and%20animals/greycat.jpg) was looking for food. He smelt some food and padded over, unknowing the he was being watched.

Icestar looked up. Through the blizard she saw a cat walking. "Hey!" She called out to it. "Who are you?"

Shadow jumped. His paw slipped on a patch of ice and he fell into a pile of snow face first."Mrow!"yelped in surprise.

Icestar rushed from the cave towards the cat. "Are you okay?!" She fretted. Her icey eyes lit in horror. She helped the tom stand.

Shadow turned over laughing."I'm fine!"

Icestar paused. She began laughing too. "You scared me out of my fur!" She murowed. She put out a paw to help the tom.

Shadow laughed, struggling up.

"I'm Icestar. Who are you?" She meowed friendly. The blizard was slowing.

"Hello Icestar, I'm Shadow", said Shadow.

"Are you alone in the mountains?" She asked.

Shadow nodded,"Yep, I'm purely alone. Say? Do you have a mate?", he asked, trying to hide the hopefulness in his voice.

She shook her head. "No... My mate that these kits came from died..." She murmured. "But I moved on when he wished me happiness from StarClan." She smiled warmly.

"Oh. I'm sorry", Shadow said.

"It's okay. I just want them to have a father when their born..." She looked at her paws awkwardly. "D-do y-you have a m-mate?" She stammered.

Shadow smiled"Yep!", he joked, seeing out Icestar would react.

Icestar tried to hide her dissapiontment. "Oh.." She tried to keep her voice steady. "She's a realy lucky she-cat" She meowed almost choking on the words.
Iner me:
Mouse-brain! You knew a tom like him wouldn't fall for a she-cat like you, none the less a pregnant one! Mouse-brain, mouse-brain, mouse-brain!!!!! -
Shadow laughed, seeing her disappointment"Nah, I have no mate", he said.

Icestar tried to hide her excitment. "Oh." She strugled to keep her voice from squealing. "D-do you..." She broke off. "No.. Nevermind." She grined her teeth and waved a paw to hide her frustration with herself.
You're just going to ruin a friendship if you ask him... Theres no way a tom like that would like you... She thought
