Fang slithered through the dark shadows of the nursery, taking in the delicious scents of kits as he flicked his small tongue out, tasting the air. He slithered to the back, then slid slowly into the nest, the mother wasn't there. He shot forward, trying to get one of the smallest kits . . .

Moonkit looked up and saw th esnake she squeaked
Talonfrost darted in

Fang grabbed at Moonkit, trying to grab her tail, ignoring the warrior. He was big enough to kill him, after all.

Bristlekit noticed the snake. "SNAKE HELP," he yowled, and started running all around the nursery.

"Snake?" yowled Blueshade in shock.
She burst into the nursery furiously, her fur already bristling.
"It's not an adder!" she said in relief to Talonfrost, "So it doesn't have poison." -
OOC: Fang is a large venomous snake.
IC: Fang hissed at the cats, then grabbed a kit and swallowed it whole.

Oakpaw and her mentor, Darkmask, ran into the nursery. Lilyclaw - Darkmask's sister - and her mate, Grayfang, were right behind them. (Lilyclaw's kits were almost old enough to be apprentices, so she sleeps in the warrior's den.) Darkmask commanded, "Oakpaw! Grab the kits! Grayfang, can you help her? Get them to the warrior's den! They'll be protected there!" Oakpaw did as told. Lilyclaw looked at her brother with a scared look in her large blue eyes.

Bristlekit was calmer now. "Hey! I can fight the snake!" he protested.

Lilyclaw ran up to Bristlekit, knowing he would not give up on a chance to fight this snake, and ran out of the den. She met Grayfang halfway to the warrior's den, telling him, "Keep Bristlekit guarded by one of the stronger warriors..... I have a feeling this one will need it...."

Firekit watched the snake closely from shadows where no one could see him, unsheathing tiny claws ready to attack it.

Darkmask looked around the nursery. It seemed all the kits were gone.... Oakpaw and Grayfang were behind him. "Now for the snake..." muttered Oakpaw, ending off her sentence with a hiss. Oakpaw said to Darkmask, "Go get Honeyflash, Stonefoot, Redface, Tawnyears, and any other warrior up for the challenge. But leave the kits with a lot of protection....." Usually, Darkmask would have laughed about an apprentice commanding her mentor, but with the situation, he didn't....

Firekit was glad that none of he warriors saw him, now he could fight that snake all by himself without distraction.

Grayfang sheathed and unsheathed his claws, anxious.

Firekit watched in fury. I was going to get that snake! Overpowered with rage, Firekit scrambled to his feet and charged blindly at the snake...

Grayfang yowled as he saw the young kit, "Firekit!"
He charged at the large snake, praying to StarClan they would both be safe.ooc: RAWR we need shirana back to play the snake......

Firekit was shoved aside, "Hey!" but watched as the snake attacked, then he suddenly regretted attacking the snake and scrambled back into the corner of the Nursery.
