Hawkflight looked at the cub and remembered the warrior code. No kit is to be left alone. He figured it counted for foxes too. "Keep him. One of you will be in charge of taking care of it until he's ready to survive on his own. When we release him, treat it as hostile."

Skyheart pads out of the Medicine Cats Den den and stretches. She sees the fox cub and walks up." And who is this?" She askes

"I'll watch him". She said picking up the fox pup.

"I'll raise him." Mintclaw volunteered. She had gotton attatched to the cub evr since he told her that his mother died.

"Ill help".

"Thanks. We don't know if he'll be a handfull or not." Mintclaw mewed and scooped back up the cub.

"Hmm"...

Mintclaw brought the fox cub to the nursery. She set him down in a nest and whispered, "Go to sleep." The fox cub nodded and closed his eyes.

She got a rabbit and layed it beside the cub.

The cub opened his eyes to the scent of rabbit. He saw the rabbit beside him and took a bite of it.

"I can bring you more when you want". She mewed and walked away.

"Okay, thanks!" The fox cub said and layed his head back down. Mintclaw layed down by him and asked, "What's your name, sweetheart?" The cub lifted his head again and said, "I don't know." Mintclaw blinked and mewed, "Why don't we call you.... Cody."

Skyheart sat down in a shady spot in the clearing, exhausted after the long day.

She walked to the nursery with a fat vole.

Cody smiled at his new name. He was happy to be with someone again. The little cub closed his eyes and dozed off. Mintclaw purred and glanced around camp.

Skyheart gets up and slips inside the Medicine Cats den and settles in her nest and dozes off.

She dropped the vole by Cody and Mintclaw.

Hawkflight bounded over to the nursery and saw the two cats watching the cubٌ. "How's it going" the Tom pondered.

"It is fine". Fluffy soul mewed.

Mintclaw looked at the vole and back at Cody. She nudged Cody. "Cody, Cody she's brought another piece of fresh kill for you." Cody woke and started to eat. He was starving, he hadn't eaten for three days.
