We live in a massive crater, filled with prey, a lake, open plains, and everything we might need. The humans brought some of us here, some came on their own. The crater is safe. Humans don't hurt us here. We're not supposed to have any worries...
But we do.
Because they messed up when they brought us here. There's another pride here. And we both want control of the crater. So we have to fight for what we have and what we need.
It's war.
So, this rp is about two prides living in the Ngorongoro crater, which is a reserve in Africa.
Just for knowledge:
1. There are no giraffes or crocodiles in the crater at all.
2. The lake in the center is actually comprised of salt water.
3. About 25,000 animals live in the crater, most of them are buffalo.
4. The main species in the crater that draw attention are leopard, lions, buffalo, rhino, and elephant.
5. The crater covers 8,300 square miles! So this is one huuuggee crater.
6. It actually exists! The crater is part of a conservation area, so while some tourists and scientists do poke around, there's no fear of poachers.
You can join two different prides.
East Pride is the newer of the two prides and they live on the eastern flatlands and low hills. They have no set base, but wander around a lot. There's not a lot of water on the east side, except a stream that runs down towards the lake, so there's pressure there, especially in the dry season.
The West pride is the older of the two prides and they live in the western side of the crater. Though they don't have the open plains that the East pride uses to hunt the buffalo, they do have control of two swamps and the forest, which is nice for hunting gazelle or, as they teach their young certain tricks of the trade, elephant. They have a nice base set up in the forest and usually are there in the hottest parts of the day.

2. The lead male is boss. He can do whatever he likes, including kick others out.
3. no killing without permission.

Leader: The head male. He eats first and does little work, but keeps the peace and the pride going.
Hunters: All lionesses who've had their first hunt. Usually over two years old.
Cubs: Young lions under two are considered cubs. If male, when they reach two, they are usually kicked out. One may be allowed to stay so he can be taught to be leader.
