    Jaykit was excited to become an apprentice. He wriggled around as his mother, Hollycloud, licked his fur into place. "Stop moving," She meowed. "Your fur will get messed up." Finally, it was time to go into the clearing. Jaykit bounced into the middle of the clearing, fur fluffed up in excitement. Snowstar padded up to Jaykit. "Jaykit has reached his sixth moon and is ready to become an apprentice." Snowstar gazed around the clearing. "Blackshadow, you have proven yourself to be a fine warrior, and I think that you are ready for your first apprentice." Snowstar gazed at Blackshadow. "I hops that you will pass on your courage and thoughtfulness on to this apprentice." Snowstar gestured at Jaypaw with his tail. "Jaypaw! Jaypaw!"
