OOC: Thanks for the fill in.
Leyko folded her wings as she landed on the ground. She tucked them safely inside her jacket before continuing on foot. In one day she had managed to run into people trying to capture her or kill her about six times. Now she was sure she was supporting broken knuckles from the several times she had punched someone.
Shade managed to climb onto the lowest branch of a tree. He stood on it, keeping watch for Max as she slept.
Tabitha jerked awake suddenly and sat up, her eyes wide and her doe ears swiveling around as if she was trying to hear something. she glanced up at Shade and whispered "there's some one out there..."
Shade looked to her, "Eraser?" He asked from where he stood
"I don't know, but it sounds a bit...light to be an eraser. I was infused with deep DNA, not blood hound." she said, but stood up all the same.
Leyko continued walking. She hoped the Erasers were done attacking her for the day. It would be nice to find somewhere to sleep without being attacked. Leyko looked at her slowly bruising knuckles. She wouldn't be able to punch someone for weeks.
Shade nodded, "Should we stay or go look?"
"I'll go poke around, you keep watching." Tabitha said and crept off into the woods.
Shade nodded, "Okay, be careful... Call if you need help...." He said. He came down walking back to where Max, slept.
Tabitha flicked a ear in response. she followed the slight rustling that the person walking was making until she found Leyko. still hidden in the bushes, she watched her and decided she would wait a little before talking to her.
Leyko to busy trying to push her way past some bushes didn't hear anything and continued, unknowingly, closer to the spot where others were camped.
realizing were Leyko was headed, Tabitha jumped out of the bushes and in front of Leyko, intentionally. "hold up!" Tabitha said.
Shade flicked his wrist, distorting the shadow casted on the ground. He sighed, flicking it away. He flexed his black wings, they were stiff from lack of use. A breeze ran by, ruffling his hair .
Leyko instinctively fell into a fighting position raising her fist in front of her.
Shade wondered if Tabitha was alright.... He sighed.
"don't punch me, I don't want to hurt you." the only reason Tabitha hadn't bolted at that moment, was because of the state of Leyko's knuckles. "besides, it would probably hurt you more than it hurt me."
Leyko didn't lower her fist, she just merely glanced as her bruise and bloody knuckles and then back at Tabitha. "Just who are you then?" she asked.
"uh...well, you know, just your average mutant." Tabitha said, waggling her doe ears at Leyko comically.
Shade shifted his weight, his green gaze flicked to the left, following a leaf falling from a tree until it hit the ground.
