  • Lilackit scoffed. "I have no thanks for him now because he saved me from starving. Without Ribbonsky, there's nothing else to live for. I want to be dead now, because at least then I'll be with Mom. I don't wany anything from you. I want my mom!" She turned towards the camp entrance. "If any of you come after me, I'll kill you!" Without waiting for an answer, she sped out of camp, ignoring the stares she got from other warriors.

Patchkit sighed. "Perhaps you're right Silentkit. But I'll never forgive you for betraying Mom, no matter what your reasons are. When you take a mate, you promise to love and cherish them, not their sister." She didn't try to cuddle with Cedarstorm, but at least she didn't try to hurt his feelings any longer.

  • Cedarstorm sighed. "You're right Patchkit. I made the wrong decision. I've always loved your mother, and especially you, my kits. You don't have to worry about forgiving me either, Patchkit. Because frankly, I blame myself for all of this. Ribbonsky left because of me. She died because of me. Every thing that is happening, is because of me. Lilackit is gone, because of me. I'm a curse." Pausing, Cedarstorm looked in the direction Lilackit went. "I'm going after her. She can't kill me. I'm a warrior. And I love her. And I can only hope, and pray that she has the smallest inch of love left for me. I have never stopped loving her. She's my daughter, and she's in danger out there alone." Dashing for the entrance, he swiftly and quickly followed Lilackit's scent. It was still very fresh, and easy to follow.

  • Although her scent trail was fresh, Lilackit was faster and very clever for a kit her age. She had taught herself how to swim in a deep puddle that had formed just outside the nursery during a rainstorm once, and she was confident she'd make it across the river. She also knew crossing it would mean that it would be very hard for anybody to follow her, because they'd lose her trail. Strongly, she jumped into the water and paddled in a diagonal line. Once on the other side, she shook out her fur and bounded away, heading towards the horse farm.

    Patchkit sighed, shaking her head.

Ribbonsky yawned. "Well, I wish to be alone for a little while," she requested.

Cripplefeather nodded and padded towards Jaybird, Snowpetal, and Blackthorn.

Ribbonsky started to wander, when she suddenly bumped into a pure white tom that looked so starry, he was blinding. He was big and powerful. "Oh, sorry."

The tom shook his head. "No problem, Ribbonsky. I've actually been looking for you."

    "How do you know me?"

"I am Starstar, the ultimate leader of StarClan. I always have been, and always will be." The tom sat, wrapping his glistening tail around his paws.

Ribbonsky sat down, too. "Pleased to meet you, Starstar. Now what do you need me for?"

"Your death was a mistake. Never meant to happen," Starstar informed her.

    Ribbonsky stared at him blankly.

"Now, we have a group of cats who decide if a death of a cat was a mistake or meant to happen. When you were met in the meadow by Cripplefeather, she hadn't been informed your death was a mistake, so she had summoned the portal that would lead you here. She wasn't told because the cats who decide whether a death is a mistake or not had decided to take a break. Now, usually, the cat who meets you in the meadow would know it's a mistake you're dead, so they'd send you back, but Cripplefeather didn't know."

Ribbonsky was understanding everything, although she felt like she shouldn't.

"Normally, a cat who has accidentally gotten into StarClan even though their death was a mistake is forced to remain here, but you have a destiny that you cannot miss, Ribbonsky. Although I only use this for absolute emergencies, I consider this an emergency. The high cats of StarClan are able to wipe a cat's memory from them, and we are wiping yours from the time you awoke in the meadow. You will awake there, but this time, Cripplefeather will send you back, because I'll have told her your death was a mistake."

Ribbonsky blinked. "So I'm going back?"

Starstar nodded. Without warning, he suddenly leaped at her, pinning her to the ground. "Goodbye, Ribbonsky," he meowed, and gently pressed his nose against hers.

    To Ribbonsky, everything went black.

  • Cedarstorm followed her trail until he got to the River. Praying to Starclan, he saw a small, white shape, far off in the distance. "Maybe that's Lilackit!" He thought out loud. Hoping into the River, he thumped his strong legs over the curent, and pulled himself to shore, on the other side. "LILACKIT!" He yowled as he ran towards her. He was fast. Being a warrior, with longer legs. He ran beside her, and sighed. "Why are you running away, Lilackit? I know you hate me, but what would Ribbonsky want you to do? You still love her! And you KNOW she would want you to be safe with me..." Cedarstorm sighed again as he ran. "Truth is, she killed me. In a way. But I know she loves you, and would want you to come home." He said sadly.

  • Lilackit, surprsingly strong for a kit, tackled her father, clawing at his face. "Don't ever say Ribbonsky killed you! You killed her! She only left because she felt she was a reason Brackenheart was so unhappy. She didn't know the reason why Brackenheart was so unhappy was because the selfish, self-centered she-cat couldn't have you! You're Ribbonsky's, not hers! But you went and had kits with her anyways, and I'll never forgive you. Deep down, I know Ribbonsky hates you for this. And so do I. I don't have one single ounce of love left for you, and never will, so just get out of my life!" With one single claw, she scratched at his eye, praying she didn't miss. Without stopping, Lilackit ran away and disappeared.

  • Cedarstorm dodged the attack, but unthankfully, he had enough pain already. "Lilackit! Wait!" He would run after her forever if he had to. He had sacrificed everything he had for Lilackit. And for the end result to be that she hated him, hurt him so much. He loved her more than anything, and he got blamed for everything. Why wasn't she mad at her mother for leaving her? Yet, the kit was mad at Cedarstorm for being so desperate for her mother's love, that he took in the closest thing to her he could find.

  • OOC: and now im depressed

IC: Brackenheart struggled some more, but felt no release. She tried to cry out, but her throat remained torn. She laid her head on her paws and whispered to herself. "I wish I was dead." She sniffed quietly as a tear roleld down her cheek. Then something whispered in her ear, "I cannot replaced your throat, but I will give you one last chance to scream." Brackenheart didn't question the voice and suddenly felt her throat patch up. She let out an ear-bleeding scream that made her own ears hurt. Her voice died out again, and the voice was no where to be heard. Brackenheart prayed that someone had heard her scream, so she sat and waited.

OOC: Drake and Josh lover, you don't hate me outside of the story, do you?

  • Cedarstorm sped in front of her. "Lilackit! Please come back!"

Silentkit heard the scream and went out into the forest to explore.

  • OOC: Of course not! This is only a story. I could never hate anybody.

  • OOC: kk, just makin sure ;)

IC: Brackenheart had eventually fallen asleep and dreamt of being with Stormclaw. Her kits were all happy and together (I just remembered that Brackenheart had kits LOL) Cedarstorm, Ribbonsky and their kits were all together and happy and their kits would play with each other. When Brackenehart woke up, reality came crashing down on her far too soon. She sighed and watched as the sun slipped down past the horizon and turned sunset into night. The sounds of the forest came alive quickly and Brackenheart quickly grew cold. The light pitter patter of feet scurried past her. She felt small warm bodies crawl over her and the rancid smell of rats came over her. She whimpered in fear as they clawed at her fur. She smacked one away with her front paw and then clawed another one's neck as it came closer. This is going to be a long night

  • Lilackit knew she had more energy than her father, and that he'd be left behind. She suddenly caught a whiff of a familiar scent on the breeze, and realized she was smelling Ribbonsky. I must be nearing her... body, Lilackit thought to herself. She planned to take a sharp turn, but before she could, crashed into something tall and furry. She fell backwards.

Ribbonsky, having seen Cripplefeather for a second time in the meadow, had been told she wasn't dead, and had woken up. She was now running back to camp when she tripped over something small and furry. She looked behind her and saw Lilackit!

Lilackit looked around and saw Ribbonsky! "Mom!" she wailed, dashing at her mother.

Ribbonsky purred and cuddled with her daughter.

"I thought you were dead," Lilackit whispered.

Ribbonsky shook her head. "No. Just fainted."

  • Cedarstorm forced his legs to run faster. He couldn't lose Lilackit. He just couldn't. He ran and ran, and kept himself from stopping. He was running out of breath quickly, but he didn't think of that. Cedarstorm's focus was completely on his kit. The one who now hated him, when all he had done for her was give her unconditional love.

As he ran, he didn't notice the shape in the difference right away. But as he approached he stopped. His eyes grew wide with recognition. It was RIbbonsky! But something kept Cedarstorm from seeing her. He wanted to greet her more than anything...But would she want to see him? Everything within him told him to just run, but something just made him freeze and hope that she would perhaps see him.

  • Ribbonsky looked over Lilackit and saw Cedarstorm freeze. She smiled weakly at him, but made no move to approach him. I'm glad to see him alive, but that doesn't change my choice, she thought to herself. She looked down at Lilackit. "Ready to go back to camp?" she asked her daughter.

    Lilackit nodded.

Ribbonsky grasped Lilackit's scruff in her jaws and began to pad back to camp, figuring Cedarstorm could find his way back on his own. Passing him, she flashed him another smile, her eyes shining with love, regret, and fierce stubbornness at her decision. She continued on.

  • Cedarstorm looked at them pass by him. Sorrow filled his heart once more. He did not wish to face his love, kits and even Brackenheart. Not even his clan. I'm such a failure. I can't possibly return now. I've lost absolutely everything. Deciding to spend the night out of camp, he roamed around, not caring where he was headed. Anything could happen to him now. His sorrow made him weak and vulnerable. Walking as far as the farmlands, Cedarstorm kept his head and tail low as he walked into an abandoned barn.

Settling himself down on a patch of hay, he felt a tear roll down his cheek. He did nothing about it. Cedarstorm was just tired. Tired of trying. Tired of drama. Tired of sorrow. He was just plain tired of life in itself.

Suddenly, a growling sound went off from behind him. The stench of badger filled his nose, but Cedarstorm was to depressed to care. I deserve to die anyways. I don't care. Only one of my kits still love me. I screwed up. My mate won't take me back. I broke her, and her sister's heart. I should just die.

The badger crept from behind the hay stack, it's sleek muscles rippling. It was young, and strong. That was easy to tell. And, it looked angry.

(Don't worry :) Cedarstorm won't die, or get REALLY REALLY hurt :) )

  • OOC: Alright, to keep myself from apologizing every time, I'm just gonna say that I won't be able to get on a lot since school started and I was grounded from the computer for a while so that's why I haven't been on.

IC: Brackenheart was slowly losing her energy and swiped her paw at the last rat before she fell back down onto the cold ground. She whimpered softly and watched the trees sway in the wind. Does anyone even notice that I'm gone? She thought sadly. Brackenheart was wrong, someone did notice. Her kit.

Gracekit waited by the entrance of the camp, waiting for her mother to return. Being the adventurous kit she is, after the sun set, she headed out of camp. She looked around, not knowing where she was going and starting to get scared. She turned around and started heading back, except, she didn't know which way WAS back. "Oh no..." she whispered. The owls hooted and paw steps echoed in the distance. "W-where am I?" she mewed. Stumbling forward, she sniffed the air, trying to find her mother's scent. "Follow me." a tom cat voice said softly. Garcekit felt warmth near her and she stuck close to it. "Who are you?" she asked. "My name is Stormclaw, I was our mother's first mate." the tom explained. "Oh Stormclaw! My mommy meows your name in her sleep." Garcekit recalled. Stormclaw smiled. "Where are you taking me?" The kit asked. "To the camp." Stormclaw replied. "But what about mommy?" Gracekit whimpered. "Don't worry, someone is on their way to find her. Don't worry."

Brackenheart heard rustling in the distance and looked up to see a figure walking towards her. "H-hello?" She called out.
OOC: can this be when Brackenheart meets Rusty? Like, Rusty is looking for Ribbonsky and he finds Brackenheart and helps her?

  • (That's a great way to introduce the two Cooliocats! :) )

Cedarstorm looked at the badger, ignorance in his dull, once vivid eyes. He didn't care to die. His gaze followed the badger as the large creature growled without end. It's teeth reflecting light, showcasing what looked like shards of glass. Cedarstorm stifled a sigh. He knew that Emberfrost risked her life for him, but he couldn't help but think she was wrong to do so. It all lead up to nothing.

As the badger crept closer, Cedarstorm noticed it's long claws. It scraped the ground as it walked. Without a second thought, the badger attacked, outstretching it's claws, ready to shred some skin. Cedrstorm didn't budge, but the force of the attack sent him flying. As the air knocked out of him, the tom noticed a long, bloody wound all across his flank.

Before he could get up, the badger launched itself at his, it's jaws open to bite. But before it could, a starry figure appeared in front of Cedarstorm. Like a lightning bolt, the badger was gone. The figure....It was Cedarstorm's mother. Tanglefur.

Tanglefur turned around, giving her son a fierce, stern look. "What are you thinking, Cedarstorm? Emberfrost died for you, and you want to waste her away? Just like that?" Cedarstorm sighed, realizing his mother had healed his wound. "Tanglefur, I just don't know what to do anymore." The dead she-cat's gaze softened. "Don't give up." And like that, she was gone.
