  • Brackenheart beamed with pride. "I'm glad you think so." she mewed. "Do you think you could watch them while I go for a walk in the forest? I need to stretch my legs."

  • Ribbonsky nodded eagerly and licked her sister's ear reassuringly. "They won't be going far. Not with mean ol' Aunt Ribbonsky watching them," she purred. She winked at Cedarstorm, sharing the exact same thoughts.

  • Cedarstorm purred as he watched the young kits mewl as the tried to move themselves around. He guessed they were looking for their mother. He felt well occupied watching over the kits. Then he saw something he never thought he would see. He gasped and turned to Ribbonsky. "Look at Rainkit!" He exclaimed. "He's opening his eyes!"

  • (I will be gone over the weekend :( So I'm sorry if I don't reply after friday, which is tomorrow. I will reply as soon as possible on monday :) )

  • Even though these weren't her kits, at the sight of her nephew opening his eyes, Ribbonsky felt the pride that Brackenheart already felt. "Already a little warrior," she murmured, reaching down to lick the tiny kit's ear. "May you have a blessed life," she whispered. "All of you."

  • Cedarstorm purred and nodded agreement at Ribbonsky's comment. He turned to his mate. "One day, we will also have kits." He said as he daydreamed of what they could look like.

  • Ribbonsky purred, but gave away nothing. Little did he know, that one day would be here sooner than he thought! She decided to tell him later, when she could tell him privately. She somehow knew she was having four, but she didn't know anything else.

  • Cedarstorm smiled, cluless that Ribbonsky would be bearing his kits sooner than he thought. He watches the kits and started cleaning Stormkit. The little kit was fidgeting in the moss and got all dirty.

  • Ribbonsky knew that it was cruel to keep him waiting any longer. Besides, they were alone. She opened her jaws to tell him when a voice from outside interrupted her. "Ribbonsky! Dewdrop wants you for a border patrol, along the ShadowClan border!" Ribbonsky sighed. "Coming!" she called. "Can you manage them on your own?" she asked Cedarstorm.

  • Cedarstorm purred with a smile. "I think I'll be alright." Just then a kit started mewling and Cedarstorm crouched down beside him, gently licking him until he fell aslepp. "I'll be the best queen ever!" He joked as he tried not to laugh too loudly to wake the littke scrap of fur.

  • Brackenheart walked around in the forest, breathing in all their scents. It's good to be out again. She thought. the scent of mouse made her drop in a hun ting crouch. she saw the small scrap of fur and leaped on it. killing it with a swift bite to the neck, she clutched it in her jaws and padded back to camp.

  • Ribbonsky squeezed out of the nursery and bounded over to the camp entrance, where Dewdrop, a small black she-cat with a single pale gray spot on her left flank and blue eyes, and the brown tabby twin brothers, Mousefoot and Sandpool, both with green eyes, stood waiting for her. With a respectful dip of her head to all three cats, they bounded out of camp.

  • Cedarstorm couldn't keep his eyes of the kits. He imagines what his kits would look like one day, and when that day would be.

  • Reaching the ShadowClan border, the warriors remarked it and were just about to continue on their way when out of nowhere six large ShadowClan cats leaped out of the bushes and attacked the patrol. Two muscular toms pinned Ribbonsky to the ground. She raked at them with all her might, but it wasn't effective. All she could think about was if her kits would come away from this unharmed. If she would come away from this unharmed.

  • Cedarstorm felt happy with the kits. But suddenly, he felt a pang of worry. He didn't know what he was worried about, but he felt like Starclan was trying to tell him something. He looked up to the sky. "Oh Emberfrost..." He prayed as he remembered his former mate. He had never forgotten her, even in her death, she was his closest friend. He missed her dearly. "If anything is going horribly wrong...please help!"

  • Ribbonsky hissed in agony and worry for her kits as a strong ShadowClan tom raked his claws down her stomach. As she was mercilessly beaten, she looked around. Her three fellow warriors were each being severly wounded. There was no way they wouldn't get out with all four cats...

  • Cedarstorm could no longer concentrate. Something nagged at his soul relentlessly. He breathed heavily with worry and blinked harshly. But suddenly he opened his eyes and found himself in Starclan. He could see Emberfrost bolting yoward him. "Emberfrost!" He exclaimed as he nuzzled her. She looked at him with worried eyes. "There is no time to speak, Cedarstorm. Ribbonsky is in great danger and so are the lives of a bundle of kits you love dearly. Act quickly, and go save your mate." Cedarstorm found himself in the nursery again.Ribbonsky's in danger! he thought. Then he looked at the kits he was caring for.And so are they! Little did he know that it was not THOSE kits whose lives were being threatened. He poked his head out of the nursery and called out to the strongest cat in the clan. "Blackfang! Look after the kits for me. NOW. There's no time to explain." He rushed as he sprinted into the forest, following Ribbonsky's scent. That's when he saw the patrol. He leaped on the tom who had pinned down his mate, and viciously faught him. He could feel blood trickling down his shoulder, the the wounds he had cause his opponant were just as horrifying. "Run ribbonsky!" He managed to articulate through a tuff of claws and teeth.

  • Ribbonsky heaved herself to her paws. "No way am I letting you fight this mangy excuse of a cat by yourself!" she hissed, throwing herself to help her mate. She swiped her front claws at the ShadowClan tom's muzzle, ears and cheek, and then raked her claws across his flank. She was suddenly knocked over by another ShadowClan warrior. Laying on the ground, she saw the warrior heave himself upwards, preparing to throw all his weight on top of her. She rolled out of the way and whirled to her paws. "Stand up and face me!" she snarled at the tom, who now lay in a clumsy position on the ground, surprise bright in his eyes. Menace replaced the surprise, and he immediately rose to his paws, ready to leap at her. But Ribbonsky was too fast. Rearing up on her hind paws, she used her front claws and swiped them at the tom's face over and over, advancing on him with every swipe as he kept stumbling backward. Finally she let out a furious yowl and threw herself on him, biting him like there was no tomorrow. With a final warning bite to the shoulder, she let him up. He bounded away into the bushes. She suddenly heard the cry of the tom who had been leading the battle patrol for ShadowClan call out, "Retreat, ShadowClan warriors!" Just like that, all six toms were gone. Exhausted and wounded badly, Ribbonsky could no longer stand. She collapsed and passed out from the loss of blood.

  • Cedarstorm managed to bite him in the neck, near to a death blow, but not quite. "Teaches you to mess with my mate!" He hissed as the tom fled. He heard the retreat call from the Shadowclan patrol and howled victoriously. He turned around and that's when he saw Ribbonsky, sprawled out on the ground. "RIBBONSKY!" He yowled as he ran toward her desperately. "Help me get her to the medicine den!" He yelled to whoever would listen. "Wake up...please!" She pleaded as he carried her back to camp. He had a flashback from the time she fell out of the tree, and shuddered. Again, he knew that Emberfrost was helping him bring her back to camp. He set her on some wood and pushed her back to camp. He wrapped her up in cobwebs and lay beside her, as he did the first time. "I WON'T lose you. I CAN'T." He said as he buried his muzzle into an exposed tuft of fur, not bandaged by cobwebs.
