Age

    So, a kit becomes an apprentice at 6 moons, and an apprentice becomes a warrior at 12 moons. How long until the warrior becomes an elder? And how long do elder live?

    Actually, 12 moons is the earliest an apprentice becomes a warrior. It's usually about 13 or 14 moons. Maybe 15. Anywho, they become elders when they are unable to hunt and take on their usual duties. There is no specific age line...only until they aren't capable of taking up the jobs that come with being a warrior.

    I dunno the exact age an elder dies...in reality their life span is about 15 years, but in this RPG...it should be shorter. They can also live up to 20+ years.

    There is no set age, but feral cats have a much shorter lifespan, not because they age faster but because they get killed by things other than old age 99% of the time. Elders are mostly disabled cats, who got injuries from fights and things.

    ^ Agreed. A warrior only retires early IF they are injured by an animal, or another warrior (See Stonepelt, Bluestar's Prophecy). If a warrior is lucky enough to never get killed or get a crippling injury in thier life, they retire somehwere around 100-120 moons, which is about 10-12 years old. Warriors usually become warriors around 13 moons, from 12-16 moons. Kits HAVE to become apprentices 6 moons OR later. If the kit is a naughty kit, they CAN be held back for a moon or two before they become an apprentice.

    The only auto-ranking is apprentice, and still it can be put off.


    Warriors can only be made earliest at 12 moons, unless they did something extraordinary that meant they could become a warrior at 10 moons earliest. (not in a bio! IC ONLY!) But it can take longer. No auto age for elders, that's just a matter of the chara's choice.

    Well...I guess they could live for a long time xD But not forever, of course.
