No, I don't want to die!, Larkkit thought as agonising pain shot through her small body and tears began to roll down her cheeks. The sound of the river faded, leaving her in complete silence. She slowly opened her eyes to see a feild of stars surrounding her, "Where am I?" she meowed.
Larkkit joins Starclan.

"Your in the hunting grounds of Starclan my little one." A black and white she-cat spoke gently. "I am Skunkpelt, a former Thunderclan warriror."
-
Larkkit looked up at the she-cat with sad, orange eyes, "Um, I'm Larkkit a...former Riverclan kit" she was scared and just wanted to curl up on the floor and pretend that she was back in the nursery with the other kits.
-
"I'm sure there are plenty of kits here you can play with. Let's see, there is Molekit. I bet he's up for a game or two." She tried to sound reassuring, knowing the kit must miss her home.
-
"What sort of games do kits play in Starclan?" Larkkit asked.
-
"The same as any other kit would play in the living world. This is a forest you know."
-
Larkkit looked at her paws in embarressment, "Oh, that would make sense" she smiled.
-
"If I see a frog I'll give it to you to chase around." She promised.
-
Larkkit looked up again, "Really? Thanks!" She felt a bit happier now, it helped to have someone to talk to.
-
Skunkpelt raced toward a marsh, sniffing around for frogs. After what seemed like a moon of looking, she came across a big dark green and black on hopping around in some long grass. She picked it up, making sure to not harm it, and dropped it in front of the little kit. "Don't let it get away," She warned.
-
Larkkit crouched down and then pounced at the frog. It tried to hop away but she managed to grab it between her paws.
-
"Good job!" Skunkpelt congratulated Larkkit. "I was once taught how to swim, and I thought you might want to learn because you were from Riverclan, and you would be taught that."
-
"That would be great!" Larkkit had always dreamt of swimming through the river back in Riverclan territory. Atleast I can learn how to swim now, she thought happily.
-
She led Larkkit down to a little pond, fortunately deep enough to swim in. "Okay now watch me ." Skunkpelt slipped in, and felt the ground below here disappear. She thrashed hers legs wildly at first, then moved around at a steady pace. "See it's easy! You just move your legs like this." Skunkpelt moved her arms in a steady rhythm. "Now you try it!" She encouraged.
-
Larkkit looked at the pond hesitantly, then took a few steps back before jumping into the pond. She rose to the water's surface, spluttering and kicking her legs about. After a few moments she began to swim through the water at an almost steady pace, "Like this?"
-
"Yes, exactly! Great job!" She congratulated Larkkit. "Now swim to that clump of reeds and back to me." Skunkpelt instructed. "And if you do that I have a surprise for you that will shoot you back down to the river, literally."
-
"Ok" Larkkit mewed excitedly. She swam toward the reeds then tried to turn, almost going back underwater as she did so. When she had turned she swam back to Skunkpelt, out of breath. "So what's the surprise?"
-
"Follow me." She meowed briskly, swimming to the bank of the water, then hauling herself up onto land. Her pace was very slow, knowing that Larkkit was tired. Not too long after, she could hear the rushing of a river. "We will rest here." She told the exhausted kit. "The surprise is that in a moment after our rest, we will come to a river and an island that look almost exactly like the ones in Riverclan. Many former Riverclan warriors and apprentices worked on the island to make it look like the Riverclan camp. And, there are kits in the nursery, almost half died of greencough, some of the others were taken by foxes and stuff like that. I'm sure they would love to hear how you died and play some games."
-
Larkkit was speechless. Is there really a place like that here? she asked herself, I wonder if the nursery will be the same.
-
The sound of playing kits could be heard inside of the StarClan nursery. Suddenly, a tiny silver she-kit with starlight in her paws ran outside, tailed by two little toms. The she-kit stopped abruptly and looked over at the new arrivals, while the other kits raced paced her. The silver kit stumbled up to Larkkit and meowed, "Hi! I'm Streamkit!"
