  • "I don't know! Such great warriors want to be deputy, and Polarstar knows it." she whispered back. This is going to be a hard decision for Polarstar! Iceheart thought as she lashed her fluffy white tail.

Foxpaw sat away from her Clanmates again. She was never really a social cat. She stared up at Polarstar, waiting for her to speak.

Redstorm turned around to look at Nightfall. "Are you coming?" he asked.

  • [align=center]OOC: Frozenheart was Polarstar's old mate and the former deputy. He was the cat who died.

Frostwish entered camp, padding to the fresh-kill pile. She laid down her prey, then look around the camp. 'I was right. She did call a meeting.' She shook her fur, sighing in relief as she warmed up a bit. The white warrior walked into a shaded corner near the warrior's den, an sat down, happy she was alone once again. Occasionally, she felt like she was alone, and wanted to go to the other warriors and talk, but how? She had never been good at talking, and her voice was so soft. Frostwish layed on her side and closed her eyes, tucking her nose under her tail. 'I'll go hunting by myself later. Maybe I just need to clear my head...' She thought, hoping the meeting would be quick.

  • OOC: Lol. Delete that post. 2 in da mornin'!

    IC: Snowclaw yawned sleepily.

  • "Yes.."
Icebreak looked around, waving his tail at Frostwish then turning to glance at Foxpaw. He felt bad when other cats isolated themselves, wanting nothing more than to give them what might have been the only good conversation they had had in a while. Instead of calling every cat in the clearing over to him, he turned back to Iceheart. He smiled again and meowed an agreement, though his heart never really was that into the politics of his clan.

  • Foxpaw saw Icebreak looking at her and she turned away quickly, a bit annoyed. It seemed like everyone was always looking at her when she sat alone during meetings and almost every other time of the day. Her mentor, Snowclaw, was probably the only cat in the Clan that would ever really try to start a conversation with her, and Snowclaw seemed like an older sister to Foxpaw.

Redstorm padded into Camp and saw all the cats gathered below the Leader's Rock. Finally. Polarstar will be naming the new deputy. he thought excitedly. He had always wanted to be the deputy and now, he had a good chance of fulfilling his dream. He dropped his bird on the fresh kill pile and sat down near Icebreak.

Iceheart nodded, but she noticed that he was looking at Foxpaw. When she looked at the russet and white apprentice, Foxpaw looked agitated. She smiled at Redstorm when he sat down near them.

  • Icebreak smiled at Redstorm and waved his tail at him before curling it back around his paws. He chuckled, "Excited?" He meowed, nodding. He wanted to turn to Iceheart and ask if she knew anything about the isolation the cats of this clan seemed to suffer through.
Maybe it's the tundra, He thought. it must get to some cats.

  • Redstorm nodded. "I can't wait to see who becomes deputy." he meowed. Talking about it only made him more excited. He was really hoping to become deputy, but he wouldn't be too disappointed if he didn't get the rank.
Iceheart sat there, wondering who would become the deputy. I know that Nightfall, Snowclaw, and Redstorm want the position, but who else? she wondered.

  • Snowclaw padded over to Foxpaw and and sat down. ' We will go hunting after the meeting. ' she mumbled to her apprentice.

  • ' Can we start the meeting, already?! ' Snowclaw yowled. She was growing anxious and impatient.

  • Frostwish flicked her ears, hearing the Clan whisper amongst themselves. Her white ears fell flat against her head as Snowclaw shouted something about the meeting. 'I wonder who our new deputy we'll be... And I hope they let me go hunting..' Reluctantly, she sat up, blinking the sleepiness out of her soft blue eyes. Frostwish curled her fluffy tail neatly over her numb paws in an attempt to warm them up. With no success, she quietly licked one of her forepaws as she waited for the meeting to begin.

  • Snowclaw clawed at the ground. She was getting annoyed when it took 20 minutes to round up a meeting.

  • Polarstar puffed out her white chest and sighed. "As we all know, Frozeheart has died from a polarbear.. I must name a new deputy. So as the new deputy she/he will have great repsonabilty, the whole clan will rest in their paws when I die. The new deputy is, Frostwish!" Polarstar yowled as she smiled warmly and raised her tail towards the spot next to her.

  • Redstorm smiled widely. "Congratulations!" he purred. He padded over to her. " You're so lucky! I think just about everyone in the Clan wanted to become the new deputy, and Polarstar chose you!"

Foxpaw looked up at her mentor. "I wish you could've been the new deputy." she meowed quietly to Snowclaw. She lashed her tail and stood up. "I'm going to go congratulate Frostwish." she turned around and walked over to the new deputy.

Iceheart turned and looked at Frostwish. "Polarstar made a great choice!" she purred. [i]Frostwish is going to make a great deputy![/b]

  • Snowsparrow dipped her head respectfully to the new deputy but stayed where she was. Her had twitched slightly as she felt the menacing presence again...

  • Icebreak grinned at Frostwish and called his congratulations to her. That's too bad for Redstorm, though. Icebreak rocked back and forth on his paws, which were beginning to sting from the cold, and fluffed his fur out more against the cold.

  • Snowsparrow's green eyes flickered about. Why? she thought. Why do I have this feeling all the time?
The wind ruffled her long fur, and she shivered with cold.

  • The feeling became worse. Snowsparrow desperately hoped that none of the others suspected anything as she rushed as fast as she could on the snow covered ground to her den.

She snucked under her seal skin, quivering uncontrollably.
