  • Blacktalon was limping around his dark grey fur and black paws stained with blood from the battle he had just had with a badger. He had won the battle, and killed the badger however he was badly injured. He was following the scent of other cats hoping to get help. However his injuries were to great, and he was exhausted, and passed out.

  • Coconutsky crept through the forest. Her soft, treading paws made not a sound. Then, she saw blood on the ground. She followed the trail until she came to an unconscious figure. She gasped in horror and ran over to him. She checked his wounds up and down. She cleaned each one carefully just as her friend, the medicine cat, had taught her. She began chewing up a salvine of alder and marigold to apply to the wounds.

Click all my eggys! They’ll thank you!!! :)

  • Blacktalon woke up saw the cat, and said, "thank you". He tried to stand but he was still weak, and fell back down.

  • Coconutsky gave him a hard look. "Don't try to get up. You'll only make your wounds worse." She began applying the poultice. "What made these injuries in the first place?" She questioned, massaging the mixture into a deep score in his side.

  • Blacktalon did what he was told and sat still. "I was attacked by a badger I tried to escape it, but it chased after me", he said. "It cornered me, and I had no choice but to fight it."

  • "Well." Coconutsky continued. "At least you weren't mouse-brained enough to confront it. My sister died last year from a badger. She went out looking for trouble and she sure got it!" Coconutsky finished applying the herbs and sat back on her haunches. "There. You should begin to heal in a couple of days. I wouldn't suggest moving until tomorrow though. You'll just re-open the wounds." She explained, spitting the rest of the herbs out of her mouth. She wiped her paws on a leaf.

  • "Thanks", he said "Don't worry about the badger I managed to kill it somehow." "What is your name", he asked her.

  • "I'm Coconutsky." She replied evenly. She sat down on the forest floor. "I might as well stay with you tonight to make sure you don't move or get attacked." She made a small nest out of leaves. "And your name is?" She inquired, cocking her head to one side.

  • "I'm Blacktalon", he said. "You don't have to stay with me if you don't want to I don't want to cause you anymore trouble."

  • "It's OK." She yawned. "I won't e able to make it back to camp anyway." Her eyes fluttered shut.

  • "Thanks" he said he drifted off to sleep. "I was lucky to run into such a kind cat I'll have to find a way to repay her", he thought.

  • Coconutsky's eyes fluttered open to reveal the fast-approaching dawn. "Gentlefoot?" She murmured, wondering if her friend had gone on dawn patrol. Then, she realized where she was. "Blacktalon?" She mewed. "Are you awake?" She began to groom her fur.

  • "I sleep better in my den." She admitted. Se yawned and stretched. "Take it easy. I wouldn't suggest trying to run for another few days." She got up. And shook her ears back to their proper positions. She looked around and tasted the air. "Are you hungry?" She asked.

  • Coconutsky snorted. "I guess that's a yes." She leapt smoothly into a nearby tree and disappeared for several moments...

  • Suddenly Moonfur appeared through the prickly bushes. "What Clan is she in?" Moonfur meowed. She saw Blazetalon jump. " Oh sorry!"

  • Coconutsky climbed into the higher branches of the tree. She spotted her prey: A robin's nest full of eggs. The robin was sitting in the nest, unaware of the danger. In one fluid motion, she sprang on the bird and killed it before it even knew what was happening. She gathered up the eggs as well as the bird and climbed back down the tree. She bounded up to Blacktalon. "Here. I hope you like robin eggs. They're my favorite!" She took one carefully between her teeth.
