Forest Fire, a flaxen chestnut Thoroughbred filly was grazing with Stuck on Charlie and Wonderstruck, two thoroughbred stallions.
Wonderstruck looked up and stamped his hoof before starting to run away.
Charlie nickered then followed.
Forest Fire whinnied and followed after her friends.
Promise raised her head to watch the Three horses race across the feild.
Sapphire snorted at Jango, who was unfimiliar to her. The black stallion shook his mane and tossed his head, stomping his hoof with nervousness. The jockey yanked on his mouth, makng the problem worse. "Take it easy on him, he needs a gentle hand" Jennifer snapped at the jockey. Sapphire settled in the gate and focused.
Enigma watched the horses in the paddock. 'Aww come on, I don't wanna have to go out there and race!' She mumbled.
Ana walked over to Jen. "So hows the jock?" she asked, a smidge worried.
Forest Fire whinnied outraged and pulled to the front.
Wonder shook his mane, him and Forest were running neck and neck.
Charlie was running behind them
Sapphire snorted and swished her tail. She was ready to race, and beat Jango. She knew all about his strategy, which was a front runner. The gates opened and Sapphire and Jango shot forward. Jango pulled ahead, but soon was left behind Sapphire. Jennifer snaked her arms up Sapphire's neck and asked for some speed. Jango pulled ahead of her again, but grew tired. Sapphire soared around the bend and to the finish with ease. Jennifer patted her and slowed her down.
Ana whistled. "That jock, is worse than I thought." she laughed.
"Amen to that." Jennifer laughed to Ana. Sapphire gave a small buck and slowed into a walk, her nostils flaring. Jango slowed down, but continued to toss his head. "HEY! If you can't relax and control him the right way, i'll let him toss ya off!" Jennifer yelled at the jockey.
Katie, chewing on her lip watched Forest fire and the others race. She smiled at Forest fire who was pulling ahead.
Forest fire passed Wonder by a neck
"Where did you find him?" Ana said, mounting LE.
"He just got out of racing school, so I gave him a try. He ain't gonna make it." Jennifer mumbled.
Wonder snorted as Forest fire passed him
Forest fire lenghtened her stride.
Charlie pulled ahead a bit
After Enigma had been untacked, she was led to the feild. As soon as she was uncliped and away from the gate, she rolled.
Fred and Jango were walked and untacked, then put into their pastures. Cloud and Sapphire stayed and practiced.
Thunderbolt was taken to the jumping arena. Brandy pushed her into trot over some small jumps.
Enigma whinnied to Jango and Fred.
Katie watched Forest fire with Intrest.
Forest fire passed a small maple tree. She slowed and reared, whinnying her victory.
Wonder passed the tree as well and slowed.
Charlie passed the tree and stopped slowly.
Jango and Fred ignored the winny and continued to graze. Fred galloped around the pasture and stopped for a roll.
Enigma rolled her eyes. 'Typical thoroughbred.'She muttered. She reared, striking the air with her front hooves.
Sapphire and Cloud walked around the track.
Fred rolled in the grass and snorted.
Thunderbolt cantered around the arena, flying over some five foot jumps.
"What do you mean, "typical thoroughbred"" Red snorted
"He may make it, perhaps for Grade Cs, he really needs to loosen up, thats for sure. You looking for a jock?"
