  • Nightmare That Devours Innocence (Nightmare) panted as she reached SnowClan territory. She had escaped from the Tribe of Rushing Water where the Skulls still ruled and had come to SnowClan to seek help. She was exhausted from the run and slumped down in the snow and tried to catch her breath. She just prayed a patrol would find her soon.

  • Whitefoot padded along the boarders of Snowclan, his ears pricked, he silently growled as he slowly padded over to the she-cat. "What are you doing on Snowclan territory?" He asked as he glared at her.

  • Nightmare turned round to gaze at Whitefoot. "I came to seek out help from SnowClan. The Tribe of Rushing Water has been captured by the Skulls, everyone is suffering as a result." Nightmare still sounded very exhausted.

  • "Please believe me! I barely escaped from there alive!" Nightmare meowed as she struggled to stand up. Her body displayed the signs of starvation and wounds littered her body.

  • "What is going on here?" asked Fadingstar, her pelt bristling. The leader was not happy that so many cats had been trespassing on their territory. The Tribe of Burning Eclipse had attacked her Clanmates, and so she wasn't too pleased with cats right now.

  • "The Tribe of Rushing Water, we are suffering beneath the rule of the Skulls. We can't take much more... cats are dying because of their cruel treatment. I barely escaped from there... I came here to seek help." Nightmare explained, still gasping for breath every so often. Her ribs showed through her matted pelt.

  • "The Tribe itself is willing to rise up... others managed to escape, they have gone to seek other Clans. I believe one said something about SpiritClan or something. I'm hoping to find others soon... I realise one Clan cannot defeat the Skulls... we certainly couldn't." Nightmare closed her eyes, exhaustion threatening to sweep over her.

  • Nightmare frowned and opened her eyes again to look at Fadingstar. "Although I am disappointed, I can understand fully. Once I have rested I will move on to find other Clans and Tribes then return when others have joined me. Thank you."

  • Nightmare struggled to her paws and staggered forward, she had hoped to walk on her own but hunger had removed her energy. She leaned against Fadingstar, grateful for the help.

  • Guiding the she-cat forward, Fadingstar made it to camp successfully. Nearing the fresh-kill pile, she nodded her head toward it and eased the she-cat to the ground. If she could stand, then she'd be fine...but Fadingstar had a feeling that standing might be difficult until she got some nourishment. "Take your pick," she mewed sorrowfully. Not because she was helping this cat, but because they could not help the Tribe.

  • Nightmare slumped to the ground, panting from exhaustion from the walk. She looked over at the fresh-kill pile, her mouth already watering as a result. "Just a mouse please." She meowed in reply to Fadingstar, she didn't feel that she deserved anything larger.

  • Nightmare turned her head to look at the plump mouse that Fadingstar had offered, her stomach yearned for the food. She showed her gratitude to the Clan leader before pouncing on the prey and devouring it in a few starving bites. She rolled her tongue over her lips and smiled warmly.

  • "Are you still hungry?" Fadingstar politely inquired when the she-cat had finished consuming the mouse. It had been a rather large one, but even some cats wouldn't be full on that on a regular basis. This Tribe cat was starving, after all.
