• Burnt was staring at Exikiel. His thoughts raced, what if the tribe never accepted him after what he had said? What is none of them ever talked to him again? His eyes flashed to a group of cats and then back to the center of the clearing. His was feeling an emotion he had never really felt before, but some thing told him that he knew what it was. He racked his memory and then the answer came.

    Fear.

  • Quote

Shiver nodded,"This time let's hunt together like we used to. It will be easier to catch bigger prey."

Ooc: I was thinking what if they catch a whiff of fox, just to make things... interesting

    OOC: Nice idea.

IC: "I think I saw a pool a little ways east of here. It's the sort of place prey might use as a water source," Triana mewed. She started walking, beckoning for Shiver to follow with a flick of her tail.

  • The kit stood hopefully unnoticed for a while, simply standing right by the guards. Her eyes had closed drowsily, her little body settles nugly in a curled ball. Then, quick as a flash, she jerked to her paws, facing Ex. This was what she wanted to do ever since the Tribe cornered him, find out why. Clash couldn't help but study him, not sure exactly what she should do. Would talking to the guards more be a better idea, or should she just talk to the prisoner. The she-cat hovered ubndecided for a split-second, before brightly speaking up, a happy-go-lucky spark added to her words, "Hiya, I'm Clash! How come you're guarded?"
An innocnet kit question. She should have just done that in the first place...

    ---

Trinket giggled happily, batting at the leaf playfully. A wind chose to come, blowing the leaf over to the skies. The kit looked down, disappointed, bouncing back on her paws a moment later. Trinket knew there was more than leaves here.

  • Nymph had a warning glance shot to Clash. "He's a prisoner," she meowed calmly.

  • OOC: Nice idea.

    Ooc: okay!

Ic: Shiver followed her, after getting closer to the little pool she suddenly stopped. Her fur on ends, and her ears lay back. She hisses,"I smell a fox."

  • OOC: and here goes my plot... :3

    IC:
A she-cat, normally black with a white belly, paws, chest and muzzle, ((like this avatar, but solid black instead of grey and striped)) was caked heavily in mud and other earthen colors. She had to run, she knew It would be after her. Run, run, run.
Tongue rolling as she panted, the filthy she-cat trudged on. Did she notice the two cats that were stalking a thrush? No, she didn't even see the thrush. Her vision blurred as she collasped near the bird, slipping into unconciousness.

[I'm thinking maybe its best to start the plot in the next thread - there's much too little time for this to carry through in this one, and we will probably be skipping some time into the next one. The main reason for the thread switching, I believe, is to keep the plot moving forward. This thread has already slowed down a little, and this part of the plot is basically done with, so we will be moving on to the next part, and skipping the sleeping...etc so we can get onto the next part of the journey. ;) ]

Like a pair of wraiths, the two cats slipped through the undergrowth into position around the thrush, both focused intently on the prey before them. Salvatrix flexed her claws, edging forward, muscles tense with readiness to pounce. One more step... All of a sudden, the thrush froze, its head snapping up in alarm. It had detected something. Without hesitation, Salvatrix hurled herself forward, her lithe form streaking from the bushes and springing into the air after the thrush as it opened its wings and frantically leaped skyward.

With one extended forepaw, Salvatrix managed to swat the bird heavily across the side, sending it plummeting back down to the earth and straight toward Fin. As she landed, Salvatrix prepared to lunge forward to help finish the struggle should the thrush continue to put up a fight or escape.

  • OOC: Meh, we can just move over to the next thread when Era locks this one. No biggie. :3

I've come a long long way,
    Made a lot of mistakes.
    But I'm breathin', breathin',
That's right and I mean it, mean it.
This time I'm a little run down,
    I've been living out loud.
I can beat it, beat it,
That's right 'cause I'm feeling, feeling.

Exikiel stared at Clash. A smile crept on his face, as he thought about how the kit had fallen for the bait. Curiosity killed the cat, as some might say. The only thing that was racing through his mind as he saw the kit in front of him, was that he had to escape. He didn't care about the scorn he had already recieved, from the dirty looks from Salvatrix, to the more physical ones. An opportunity has just presented itself, and why shouldn't he use it?
"You wanna know why I'm guarded? I'll tell you why, and then I'll show you why. This petty group considers me a threat to them, so they keep me under watch. Because, well, let's just say I'm with the supposed 'bad guys'." He then smiled, and unsheathed his claws.
"Now, hold still while I attempt my escape," and then lept at Clash, aiming to pick her up in his jaw.

OOC: *crosses fingers and hopes Tuolumne doesn't try to kill him for this...* (it was pre-arranged quite some time ago, if I do recall... :3 )

  • OOC: Could Nymph intercept him? Otherwise I'll edit my post :)

    IC:

Nymph leaped at Exikiel, aiming to unbalance him so he wouldn't pick up Clash in his jaws. A growl coming out of her throat, she glared at Exikiel.

  • Burnt swiveled around and snarled at the tom. "Put him down!" He growled. His fur was on end and his claws were already unsheathed, he didn't trust this cat at all. He was too... Twitchy. "And how dare you insult us like that! We are twice the tribe that Scarclan will ever be!" He snarled, making a move for Clash.

  • Triana stopped abrupty and realized that Shiver was right - there was a distinct vulpine scent hanging in the air. Why hadn't she noticed it? "I say we leave now, very quietly so... oh, (cuss)." A red fox appeared on the other side of the pool and glared at them hostilely.

  • With out needing to say any more, Fin dropped as well. His belly fur brushed the undergrowth. Fin narrowed his eyes on the Thush. It was new for him to hunt like this, together is oe thing, but never has he hunted with someone on the same prey.Though he didn't hesitate, he was always one for trying new things.
His eyes breifly left the thrush and turned to Salvatrix he dipped his head showing he would be ready at any time.Fin's tail haulted as he waited with bunched muscles, though he was a tad bit worn out, but didn't let that stop him. The sun's ray beated down on him as he waited for Salvatix's signal to pounce. His pelt itched wit heat and he wished he could flop down and scratch himself all over. But thee was no time for that now.

  • Wolf hissed in shock, rising to his paws as Exikiel grabbed for Clash. He was a little farther from the prisoner than most of the other cats acting as guards, but he was still close enough to see clearly what was going on. He raced forward, aiming to knock Exikiel down or at least unbalance him in some way, giving Clash a chance to escape.

  • ooc;; oooh... drama xD

    ic;;
The kit yelped as he suddenly snatched her up into the air. It wasn't as much as the fact that he was taking her then the sudden shock. He was dangerous, so she figured out, but she really wanted to know was how dangerous. She couldn't find that out unless he got away with her. Still, Tuolumne would be suspicious if she didn't struggle. So Clash writhed and squirmed, trying to wiggle her way free.

Some of the cats tried to save her, though she didn't know why they bothered. It was impossible for him to get far with a few cats already on the trail. "Let me down!" She demanded, though she wanted anything but. She wondered if he was dangerous enough to be a killer.

    Another thought hit her.
    She was being held hostage.

    ---

Trinket didn't need to wait long for entertainment. Suddenly, out of nowhere, the prisoner took hold of the kit chatting with him. Her wide, luuminous eyes followed his movements with suspicion, but she relaxed when two, no three, cats tried to fight him.

But didn't they realize he could hurt her if they tried to attack him. No, they didn;t. Instead of watching in facination, she let otu a shrill screech, hoping they would hear her in the forest, to help the kit. "Aaaaaaaah," She shrilled, trying to be as loud as possible.

Trinket stopped, knowing now she could only hope the hunters got back in time.

  • ooc. I can edit this if it conflicts with anything XD I'm just kind of jumping back in, here.

    ic.
Firefly hadn't gone too far from the mock camp. Since the hunting party had fanned out, she'd gone on her own, content with doing so due to the fact that she was used to her self-imposed isolation; however, the minute she heard a screech coming back from the direction of the camp, she took off with a recently captured mouse still in her jaws. She burst onto the scene and dropped the prey, her eyes locking onto Clash, held by Exikiel.

"Let her go!" Her voice growled deeply from her throat; it was the loudest Firefly had been in moons. With a snarl, she threw herself after the captive tom, claws unsheathed. It had been a long time since she had fought... in fact, she couldn't remember the last time. But this tom was insane if he thought she was going to let him run off with one of her Tribe's young without a fight.

  • Crimson swore aloud at himself. He had failed, already he had failed. He had ignored his mews, thinking that he was simply talking to himself. Ignorantly he had not acknowledged how close the kit was to Exikiel. Along with Nymph's attempt to unbalance the prisoner, came his attack to pick the kit up out of harms way.

Suddenly out of nowhere, a growl pierced the air sounding very close to them. Shiver flicked her ear toward the noise, recognizing the sound as a fox. She took slow steps backwards,"Triana, I think the fox is here." She then heard a cat screetch, sounding like it cam from camp. We have to get back fast. Something is going on. She thought.

  • Taintedsorrow glanced up at all the sound. "What's going on?" She called, hearing all the snarls and Clash asking to be let down. Her blue eyes flashed as she saw the full story. She snarled along with Burnt and everyone else. "Clash!" She called. "Spin around! It will pull on your scruff, but he will have to let go!" She growled, so only the young kit could hear her. "Be ready to land on your paws!" She hissed, this time so everyone could hear her.

  • "Well..." She sighed. Why did she have to get questioned? Was this their land or something? "I.." Hmmm, if this was their land, they must be the evil cats her mother used to tell her about. She glancedup at the cat standing in front of her. She'd need something to say or they'd hurt her, right? Quickly, one thought came to mind. "I've come to join you."

    "Alright," she said.

She caught a mouse, ate it, and came back to the camp. There she saw that f***ing stupid prisoner holding a kit. She frowned and ran towards the rpisoner.

ooc: I'm a little flooded, so I'll try to catch up with IC stuff.
Thread is being locked tonight or early tomorrow, let's try to finish up.
And zenzan- I don't recall it being arranged beforehand... xD Can she use Telepathy on Exikiel?
