• Puddleripple followed them, blinking slowly, haven chosen silence with this cat she didn't know and had never met. Despite having been in SnowClan for close to three seasons, she'd kept to herself, being not a very social animal most of the time. Sitting a little ways off from the pair, she stared down into the water, then shook her head, padding along a little bit and taking a swift, graceful leap. Twitching her tail to regain her balance as she landed, she perched herself on a small, cat sized sitting rock sticking out of the water. Sitting facing the sun, she stared down at the water, watching for fish. Finally spotting one, she smiled faintly as she scooped it and managed to fling it back to shore, where she quickly leaped after it and secured it before it could wriggle back into the lake.

  • "Thats my fish bird-brain!" Chillfall hissed at Tundrastorm. "Your just a nuissance. Don't you have anything better to do?" Like jumping off a cliff? she though quietly. Shaking her skinny head she turned back to Sharktooth. "Maybe i can catch the next one." She consintrated hard on the water until she saw a roundish black shape sweeping over the rocks. Making sure to lean back so her shadow didn't hit the water, she stuck her paw down deep and slashed at the fish. The creature was much more slippery then she thought. It wriggled free from her grasp and darted away into the deeper part of the lake. "Foxdung!" She muttered.

  • Sharktooth turned to watch Puddleripple. "Better luck next time." Sharktooth murmered, not really focusing on Chillfall. He stood and padded towards her. "Nice catch." He purred as he sat down next to her, curling his long silver tail around his paws.

  • Puddleripple looked up at the sound of pawsteps, seeing Sharktooth. She managed a faint smile. "How are fishing lessons going?" she asked, distractedly looking at the water. Her tail tip twitched slightly as she thought silently to herself.

  • Sharktooth shrugged "Fine I guess." If he was going to be honest, he would probably would have admitted that he had forgotten the cat's name he was supossed to be teaching and he wasn't sure how much she had actually learnt from him. There were other things on his mind.

"You've fished before?" Sharktooth inquired, jerking his head towards the fish. His long silver tail swished through the air as he brought it back around to cover his two paws.

  • Skypelt watched the water carefully. She wanted to learn how to fish. After all, what use are all these fish if I cannot hunt them? I can probably figure this out... she thought, concentrating hard. Finally, a fish swam by. Skypelt quickly reached her paw into the water, but the fish was too fast for her. She sighed, disappointed. Skypelt sat there for a while longer and, just when she was about to call it a day, a silvery fish darted past. SPLASH!! Skypelt misjudged the distance, and ended up falling into cold water. "Oh, well..." she sighed, "I might as well take a break." She let herself float peacefully in the refreshing water. Skypelt jumped up with sudden energy. She swam to shore, and shook her pelt vigorously. Determination took over her as she once again came to sit on the smooth rock.

  • Puddleripple nodded slightly. "Yes. I had to hunt whatever I found to survive before I came to SnowClan. I learned fast... I found a stream near a place where I stayed for a while. Taught myself to fish there." she meowed softly, tail twitching nervously. She cast her gaze at Sharktooth then quickly back to the water, not wanting the nervousness that she felt to be betrayed by her own eyes.

  • Sharktooth nodded "I see..." He mewed simply. Turning away, he padded to the water's edge, just dipping his paws in. The cool water made him feel calm and at ease. Sharktooth flicked his tail, beckoning Puddleripple to join him.

  • Chillfall smiled at Puddleripple. "Your a lot better then me at fishing!" She managed to smile. Her heart opened as she thought of catching another fish. "It seems like every other cat in the whole world can fish better then me!" She mewed in a sad voice. She would just have to keep trying. Her gaze returned to the water. Maybe she could catch a huge fish!

  • Plutopaw was lying down, grooming his pelt. He had come here to fish, and had a small pile of fish by him. Soon her got bored of it, just like he got bored of everything else. I wish this place wasn't so boring.. he thought to himself. He licked his paw and ran it over his head, wishing he had a few more friends.

  • Two cats strolled near the shimmer lake. It was a pretty place, really, but their attitudes were anything than something to match. The pretty female was racing ahead of the male following her. "Go away you stupid mouse-brain!" She hissed, spinning around to lash a paw out at him.

Flarepaw halted his pawsteps to avoid being attacked by Aerialpaw. His jaws split in a hiss, as he let her go. Why was she so angry? He gave a huff, turning to run back to camp.

Aerialpaw tried to catch her breath, tears welling in her eyes as she padded along the side of the lake. The scent of fresh-caught fish assaulted her nose, causing her stomach to rumble in protest. She had been too upset to eat all day. She cast her gaze towards the source of the scent, Plutopaw. Her vision was blurry from her tears, but she blinked them back and padded forward. "Hello..."

  • Plutopaw's attention was caught by the pretty she-cat. "Hello," he meowed confidently. He saw tears stuck in her eyes. "What's wrong?" he meowed seriously. He couldn't stand seeing cats sad.. He beckoned for her to sit down, and slid a fish over to her.

  • Aerialpaw dipped her head gratefully, padding over towards Plutopaw. She settled on her haunches, batting the fish slightly around. Before long, she took a tiny bite from it. Her tongue lashed out of her mouth to run over her jaws. "My brother and I got in a fight.." She mewed softly.

  • "Oh, I see," Plutopaw meowed. He took a smaller fish for himself, and took a bite. It tasted delicious. Suddenly he realized how hungry he was; taking quick bites, he finished off the rest of the fish. By the time he was done, he looked at how much Aerialpaw had eaten of her fish. His skin turned red, and he licked his chest to hide his embarrasement. "Do your brother and you fight a lot?" he meowed at last.

  • Aerialpaw pushed the fish carcass around a bit with her paw. Though her stomach was roaring up a complaint, she really didn't feel as if she had enough energy to eat. But slowly she forced herself to take tiny bits at a time. Her tail swished softly through the dirt of the ground, her eyes flicking up to watch Plutopaw gulp down his fish. A slow smile spread across her face, he must have been hungry. "Flarepaw acts like I can't live without him helping me. He just gets on my nerves..so yeah, I guess we fight a lot. Do you have any siblings?"

  • Mistypaw had been looking at Skypelt for a couple of minutes. she stiffled her laughs when skypelt fell in. she finally walked up to her. " Hi," She came and sat down beside Skypelt." No offense, but your not going to catch any fish like that."

  • A large ginger tom watched the two she-cats from the shadows of the trees that stood behind them. Rising to his paws, he took a few large steps towards them. "I see you aren't having much luck." He pointed out, his flanks heaving with the effort to stop himself laughing. "But I see you have the determination every warrior should have. Well done, I admire cats like you." With a faint smile, the tom padded towards Skypelt and sat next to her, watching as the shapes of the fish darted past.

  • "If this keeps going on she'll wind up swimming with the fish instead of catching them." Mistypaw said with a good natured grin on her face. "But I can't comment I'm just as bad. Probaly worse."

  • "No.. I don't." Plutopaw looked at her sadly, his tail drooping. He had always wanted a sibling, but of course there was no one to give him one. His mother was dead. He dived back into the present, and let out a small smile. "At least I'll always have friends," he meowed, giving her shoulder a friendly lick.
