Ic: Renee padded slowly under the treetops, her heart pounding. She had just escaped a dog, but StarClan knows when it could be back. She opened her mouth to scent the air, her cream tabby pelt fluffed up in fear. Renee's eyes glowed softly with amber- red color, and she thought she heard a dog's growl not too far off.....

  • Talon's luminescent green eyes twinkled from the darkness of the woods, his dark brown tabby pelt matching the dappled shadows and trees overlaying each other in the background. Smiling softly, he prepared to pad forth from his thick green and brown cover of oaks, pines, and poplar, when he heard the dog's howl.

Man, he hated doges, Talon did. Unlike the she-cat before him, his long pelt stayed sleek and smooth. If he met the dog, he would find it, but he strongly doubted it would find them. Right now, he was going to do what he could, both to protect the pretty little thing in front of him, or slay the dog. Either or worked.

  • Renee thought she saw a cat's shape ahead of her and she called, "Who's there?" She padded out of the grove of trees and stood in front of him. Renee cautiously unsheathed her claws and bared her teeth. She wasn't a good fighter, but she would attack if she needed to. "Looking for a fight?"

  • "IfI were looking for a fight, wouldn't I have attacked already?" The tom replied with calm logic. It paid off to keep one's cool in the face of a direct confrontation. Still, the normally light green eyes darkened as more blood to flow to his eyes, and true to his name, long claws resembling talons slid neatly out of their respective sheaths.

If it came to a fight, Talon was a tank, powerful and defensive. His long pelt deflected most blows, his long claws were perfect for ripping gashes in pelts. In other words, if you got in a fight with this tom, you're screwed.

  • She narrowed her pretty eyes, "Maybe. But 'Oh so cool' toms like you usually wait until the other cat isn't expecting anything." Renee eyed over the tom's claws. "If you're trying to scare me, it isn't working," she said, even though a pang of fear nipped at her heart. But so did something else... "I don't have time for this." She sheathed her claws and started to pad away. "If you haven't heard already, there's a dog around, and I'm not gonna stick around and wait for it to present itself on a silver platter."
She confidently padded away slowly, her tail high.

  • "So be it." Talon mewed. "But If I were to strike, I would have done so before. Common knowledge." The tom continued. "So believe what you will. It doesn't affect me in any way.

  • She whipped around. "Whatever!" The last letters were drowned out by a bark from behind a nearby tree. Her eyes wide in fear, she screamed and a dog ran out at her. Running, she yowled, "Run, It'll kill both of us!" Renee paused to strike it but it nailed its head into her flank, knocking the breath out of her. Winded, she paused on the ground, which was just enough time for the dog to bite her.

  • So. The dog was here. In a blur, Talon sprinted out of the cover, lunging for the dog but switching directions, sliding on his back underneath the dog, claws flying. Having done whatever damage he could on the undercarriage, he proceeded to leap at the dog's head, long claws extend to rip out it's eyes.

  • Her left flank bleeding heavily, she could barely take in what she was seeing. "Where did he get skills like that?" She thought. Her eyes sparkled slightly but she pushed it away. Getting up, she lunged at the dog's back legs, tearing them up and making sure he stayed put. Renee then stood back and let the tom do the rest, because he seemed fine on his own.

  • Still moving powerfully, Talon clawed along the dog's jaw, before pushing off it's neck, snapping it's head away. Now he was sprinting along the forest ground, bounding off a tree, and resuming his attack. He lunged for the back of the canine's broad neck, sinking claws into the wounded animal's throat. Ripping out his claws, he scratched along the mutt's back, leaving broad scrapes and scratches. "You're lucky I didn't kill you."The tom growled in the dog's ear, knowing the tone would get the message across. He was satisfied to see the beast limp painfully away.

  • Renee blinked. "Err... Thanks..." She sat and started licking her wounds. "Your fighting was real... nice. I'm Renee, by the way, I thought an introduction was needed. You did just... well, save my life."

  • "Living one's life constantly training leave one ready to fight, and fight well." The tom replied smoothly, a small clan accent in his voice. "As for saving your life, I would never let somebody pretty as you be killed. My name is Talon."

  • "Did you just call me... pretty?" Her fur grew hot. "No one's ever told me that before." She licked her paw. "And I think I heard an accent in your voice... Where are you from?" She ran her paw over her ear. "You should clean the blood off your paws, you know."

  • "I'll groom myself later." Talon replied softly. "And I am from the far north, pastthe mountains. Many clans reside there." the tom continued, then pressed on boldly, face flushing with color. "As for pretty, you're beautiful in my eyes. Like a winter sunset, like the summer thunderstorms. Beautiful."

  • She murmured, "Thank you...." She lifted her chin up, her pride getting the best of her. "A-And I bet the mountains there are nice. Why did you leave and come here?" She tried not to sigh as she looked at him, entranced in his gaze...

  • "My family was killed in an avalanche. I had nowhere else to go." The tabby tom admitted, gazing deep into Renee's eyes. "I came here. Right now, I'm glad I did."

  • Renee's eyelids drooped slightly, and she padded over to him. "Talon? I-I'm glad you came here, too..." She slowly touched noses with him and closed her eyes...

Oc: Are my posts too short? I know I'm asking for lots from you XD

  • ((They're fine. Actually, it helps me out.))

Purring softly, Talon pulled away for a second, and licked Renee's cheek. "Renee... I think I'm in love." The tom mewed gently.

  • She pressed her forehead against his and said, "I think so, too..." She twined her tail around his and breathed out deeply. "I love you, Talon, and I hate to admit it... I'm so proud and ignorant.." She pressed her fluffy pelt into his and breathed in his scent.

Oc: It helps you? Haha, ok!

  • Talon softly nuzzled Renee, wrapping his long tail around her. "I love you too." The tom mewed, a light in his eyes burning fiercely. "I'll always love you, and protect you from anything I can." Talon continued boldly. Bending down to lick between her ears, the tom purred loudly.
