    [size=1] underwater? like, fully underwater? just the idea seemed to terrify juneberry. "uh, no i can't," she mewed softly, and looked down at her paws. just the idea of it made her uncomfortable. oh well. learning new skills was a good thing... right? "uh, i guess you could teach me..." she trailed off, still eyeing her paws.

    "Ok!" Moonflower mewed cheerfully "If you are concerned, don't be! It is really easy once you got the hang of it! So first I want you to hold you breathe for as long as you can without passing out."

    [size=1] juneberry inhaled deeply and held her breath. she was able to go an average length of time, and then she started getting light headed. she exhaled sharply, her lungs anxious to receive more oxygen. "how was that?" she asked moonflower.

    "Great! With a little practice every day you can increase the time you can spend underwater. After around my whole life of practice, I can stay under for about 4 minutes. That is enough to plan an attack on a short note. Its a great battle skill to have, especially when fighting near water. Ok so when you go ino the water you should be able to open you eyes so you can swim freely. Can you do that already or no? You also must know how to swim too but that is part of RiverClan any way."

    [size=1] she would have to learn to open her eyes under water. she'd only done it once before, and her eyes had stung so badly after... maybe that was just the water, or the fact that she wasn't adjusted. "no, i can't open my eyes under water... very well," juneberry mewed. "but it can't be that hard to teach myself, right?" she said, partially trying to increase confidence in herself in addition to honestly questioning moonflower.

    " It is very easy to learn. The best place to practice is at the estuary. The salt water helps soothe your eyes if they start to burn. We can work our way up the river each day until we reach pure freash water. It will help adjust your eyes much better." Moonflower purred. Suddenly, there was a rustle in the bushes. Moonflower brislted. A golden ginger tom steped out of the bracken " Oh its you. Juneberry meet my brother, Sunstrike." Moonflower said with a hint of coldness in her voice. "Nice to meet you Juneberry." purred Sunstrike.

    [size=1] "that sounds good," juneberry purred back, and turned to look at the rustle in the bushes, and then the cat who emerged. moonflower introduced him as her brother, sunstrike. okay, she could handle that.


    "hey, nice to meet you," juneberry purred to the golden tom.

    [size=1] juneberry noticed that moonflower didn't like the idea of her brother there. she frowned. "if you don't want him, he can go," she said as she eyed the tom. she didn't want to upset her friend, now did she?

    "Do you mind?" Moonflower questioned Sunstrike "Oh not at all" he replied "Sounds good. Ok Juneberry, lets go!" Moonflower purred excitedly

    [size=1] juneberry rolled her eyes. if she had siblings, she wouldn't have wanted them around either. she said a small 'bye' to sunstrike before nodding at moonflower. 'come on then."

    [size=1] juneberry glanced at the ground. she did have siblings. there was dawnfur, her littermate and parent's favorite. and then there was poppypaw - a brilliant young she-cat who hadn't got to live her life before it got stolen from her.



    "yeah, actually. one... and a half." the half represented poppypaw.

    "and a half?" Moonflower asked "What does that mean?"

    [size=1] "she's still my sibling..." juneberry glanced at the ground. "but she died when we were apprentices. her name was poppypaw." she explained quietly. that, and there would surely be a few more 'halfs' in the future, with her mother having a new mate and all.

    "Oh.. My mother died when we were kits and our father is the ony family member we have left." Moonflower said quietly
