"Fang, brother, why dont you join me? We could rule over all cats!" Said claw ambitiously.

"well thats not gonna happen. 1. Because im not goin to join you and 2. No-ones going to join you." Fangstar said angrily. Then claw growled in rage and leapt on Fangstar, clawing him viciously. Fangstar felp blood trickling down his flank.

-Im not going to win...- he thought, as he was battered with attack after attack.

"Pumaroar!" Fangstar yelped as Pumaroar jumped out of the bushes."W-whatre you doing here?"

"Hey! I remember you! You left me with a few scratches before. But i dont give up that easily!" Claw growled, stepping forward.

Fangstar stared at pumaroar.
"You know Claw?" he asked in shock.

"Claw! I want you out of this forest!" Fangstar said.

"im not leaving until youre dead! I know your secret, Fang!" Claw said menacingly.

"H-how...?" Fangstar said in shock.

"I dont care if you know my secret, ill still fight to the death!" Fangtar said strongly."even if i have to the death!" he said as he leapt on claw, Battering his face.

Claw tossed him of and scraped a claw across Fangstars flank.

"I-I'm not exactly a leader..." Fangstar said nervously,"i never got nine lives or my name from starclan..."

"yes, so i can still kill you before you do get your 'nine lives'" Said Claw, sneering. then he scratched across Fangstars belly,spilling blood.
Fangstar lay against a tree.
"Pumaroar... Protect.. Ugh.. Protect Flightbird for me..." He said, his voice fading and his eyes closing.

Fangstar opened his eyes to find himself up in the clouds. He squinted his eyes and saw his father sitting there, tail wrapped around his forepaws.

"Where am I?" Asked Fangstar.

"You are in Starclan." Said his father calmly.

"What?! No! Its too soon!" Fangstar wailed.

"well do you want to go back?" Asked his father.

"of course!" Fangstar Said, trying to stay calm.

"lay down then." Said his father in a stern tone." and i shall make you an official leader in the eyes of starclan."

Fangstar obeyed and lay down. His father touched his nose to his forehead.

"i give you a life for endurance, use it well to strengthen your clan in times of trouble." His father said.
Excrutiating pain passed through Fangstar, he gritted his teeth and held back tears.

"I give you a life for hope, use it well to guide your clan through the darkest days." Said his father.
Pain passed through Fangstar, but it was not as strong as last time.

"With this life i give you love, use it well for all the cats who look to you for protection." His father said once again.
Fangstar reached his snout out, eager to recieve this life, expecting it to be pleasant. But no, it was worse than the first one. It comes to show how fierce some cats love for each other can be.

"I give you a life for healing wounds caused by words or rivalry , use it well for all cats troubled in spirit." Said his father.

Fangstar was surprised to find that this life felt quite soothing.

"With this life i give you wisdom, use it well when you have the hardest decisions of all to make." His father said.
Once again pain flowed through Fangstar.

" I give you a life for sympathy and understanding, use it well for the weakest in your clan, and for all others who need your help and protection." His father murmered.

Hardly any pain there.

" I give you a life for selflessness, use it well in the service of your clan." He said in a stern tone.

Huge pain once again surged through Fangstar.

"I give you a life for determination, use it well to set your paws on the path of what you know to be right." He said, delivering the nineth life.

Fangstar ignored the pain, relieved it was over.
"What now?" he asked.
"Now we wait." His father said slowly.
Fangstar stared as a huge amount if cats dashed cross the clouds. They all stopped behind his father and started chanting "Fangstar! Fangstar! Fangstar!"

"Th-thank you father." Fangstar mewed and then he saw himself fade away."goodbye"

He opened his eyes and found pumaroar staring at him worriedly.
"Im back." he said standing up." and im a leader now!"

"oh wow, im so scared," said claw, sarcasm in his tone.
"So you should be!" Said Fangsar menacingly.

"Pumaroar, stay here." he whispered to him."i got an idea."

Fangstar raced away through the bushes.

"Hey! Come back here!" Claw said, dashing after him.
Fangstar remembered on his way to find the camp he saw a ravine, a very big ravine.

"Hurry up you slowcoach!" Fangstar called behind him.
Fangstar reached the point and stood in front of some bushes that blocked the view of the gorge.

"Ive got you now Fang," Claw sneered.

"Its Fangstar!" he said strongly.

"I dont care! Im still going to kill you anyway!" Claw cried as he leapt at Fangstar.
But Fangstar dodged to his right and Claw went through the bushes and was clinging onto the edge of the ravine.

"Help me brother!" He wailed.

"Im sorry Claw... But no." he said tears in his eyes as he pushed Claws paws of the edge of the ravine.

He heard Claw yowling and saw him twisting and turning as he plummeted to the bottom, there was an ear piercing crack as Claw hit the bottom...
Fangstar lay down.
"im sorry brother, but it had to be done..."Fangstar murmered a he closed his eyes.
