    BrokenShadow, a slender black she-cat with one blue eye and one brown eye lay sunning in a tree. From the right, she looked like a normal cat, but once other's saw her left side.. they always ran. It was scarred horribly from being attacked by a bear. No tom had ever even taken a second glance at her and she was tired of being alone.

    BrokenShadow looked around. She had heard some rustling in the bushes. As she leaped from the tree she was laying in, her lean muscles showed through her shiny black pelt. Her ears pricked as she listened again.

    She walked toward the RiverClan border and knew a cat had crossed. Her hackles raised.

    BrokenShadow inched nearer to the shrub and caught his scent in the wind. She turned towards the bush and looked inside. "Will you please explain why you are on ThunderClan territory?" She mewed, her pelt standing on end.

    Her hair lay flat on her back and shoulders and the looked at the tom, her ears perked up. [i]What's he doing here?[/i She thought.

    She nodded and sat down still in the bush with the tom. "What's your name?"

    "I'm BrokenShadow." She mewed. She made sure to keep her right side to the stranger.

    She let out a mrrow of laughter. "Hi," she said.

    "Don't worry" she mewed, flicking her tail and batting her eyelashes. "I'm not going to turn you in." She said.
