  • "Alright. Follow close behind." The brown tabby mewed as she started off towards camp. Bear's paws thudded against the moist soil in a soft rythm.

  • [align=center]Insigniakit glances nervously at the sky and nodded. "Okay," he mewed, trotting behind Bear. His jaws were clamped shut around his precious auburn-colored lea.

  • Bear noticed that Insigniakit was gazing at the sky in a nervous manner, but did not question him. She didn't appeal to pressuring anyone, and asking Insigniakit why he his eyes were fixed on the sky so nervously seemed pressuring to her.

  • [align=center]Insigniakit's green eyes widened and he let out a high-pitched scream. A half-grown hawk leaped form a tree and flew towards the two kittens, Insigniakit and Bear. "Bear, go back to camp!" he cries out. There was no way he was going to fight this thing, but he would die and fighter, just as Moter had always taught them. The hawk swooped down latched onto Insigniakit. Up it flew, taking Insigniakit back to its nest...

    Boom!

A large boom echoed throughout the forest, and tr hawk took one more flap of its wings, then fell dead from the sky. Insigniakit was still latched in its talons, and he fell through the tree it had landed in, the braches poking at his skin.

  • As the brown tabby began to scramble towards camp in confusion, a loud shot rang out. A few fox-lengths away from her was the body of a hawk, blood streaming down from it's wound, where a shiny..thing..was embedded near it's shoulder. Gradually, she figured out what happened. Looking up into a nearby tree, she gaped. "Insigniakit!" She yowled.

  • ooc. In the tree :3

ic. Insigniakit wailed in pain and yelped, [b]"Bear! Help!"

  • {{ Thanks. <3 }}

"Hold on! I'm coming!" The she-cat yowled with a distressed tone, sprinting over to the tree. Bear wasn't the best at climbing trees, so she prayed to StarClan that this would work. The way back down would be even more difficult, especially if she had to carry a kit almost as large as her. Bear dug her claws into the tree bark, then her hind legs sprang onto the tree base. Before long, the brown tabby was climbing, albeit not with ease. Struggling up to the first layer of branches, her paws slipped a few times, and each time she dug her claws deeper into the bark.

After a while, Bear was leaping from branch to branch, being careful to only get on sturdy limbs that could support her weight. Soon, she was feet away from poor Insigniakit. Almost there! the youthful kit promised herself silently.

  • Insigniakit's pelt had been caught in a tree branch, and he hung their, limply, as blood dropped from his wounds. Oh Dtarclan, hav mercy on these kits. Not only were they young and unable to fight but one was wounded, the other in distress, and the fresh scent of Insigniakit's blood attracted foxes and other dangerous predators, perhaps another hawk, or worse, the dreaded golden eagles.

  • Bear reached for Insigniakit's neck scruff. She clasped it in her jaws, lifting him onto the thick, sturdy branch she was on with some difficulty. The brown tabby's sholder's heaved as she placed him down. "Are you alright? Do you feel like you can climb back down?" Bear asked, nudging him softly.

  • Insigniakit's shoulders throbbed with pain. He couldn't give up now, he had to make this easie for Bear. "Yea-Yeah, I think so," he mewed shakily to the other kit, heaving his black and white body to his paws.

  • "Be honest." Bear mewed. "If you don't feel like you can get back down, I can carry you." she added. "Otherwise, let's go before some other bird notices their snacks."

  • Insigniakitnpiffed out an angry breath. "I live to be honest! I can walk myself!" the Tom mewed, with a thick temper and padded to the base of the thick branch.

  • Inisgniakitnmade it abou halfway down before he slipped and tumbled the rest of the way down. At te bottom, te black and white Tom hissed in exasperation and took to his paws again. Glancin around nervously, Insigniakit frowned. [b]"Bear? Which way is camp?"

  • Bear frowned, shaking her head, before leaping off the tree's bottom. Just as the brown tabby had thought, he couldn't make it down succesfully. "Are you alright?" she asked, glaring at him for a moment before beginning to pad towards the camp. "This way." Bear mewed, traveling onward. If he didn't follow her, she would know something was wrong.

  • Insigniakit hauled himself to his white paws, groaning inwardly. Oh, StarClan, why did he come out here?! With a small huff of concentration, the young kit padded onwards, following the kit that was older then him by a moon or so. "I'm fine," he mewed, rather harshly then intended.

  • Bear nodded, seeing that there was no point in replying orally. She continued to pad in the direction of HawkClan camp. The brown tabby began to think about what to do when they arrived back at camp. Should she get the medics? Maybe it wasn't that severe, but Insigniakit at least needed some rest. And it wouldn't hurt to visit the medics just in case.

  • Insigniakit let a small mew of delight, realizing something. "Isn't it ironic? My name is Insigniakit, and I suppose I'll have these scars forever. The leader of Hawkstar or HawkClan, named Insigniakit, has scars from a hawk." It was quite ironic, if you thought about it. His name was Insigniakit, son of Hawkstar, who was leader of HawkClan. And those scars would stay with him forever, symbolizing a hawk.

  • Bear's eyes popped, hearing his conclusion. She herself was the cat of a prophecy recieved by Thornpaw. Where there was one prophecy, did not another usually follow? "I never thought about that! I wonder what it means!" If Insigniakit told the story to his mother, what would she think! Although Hawkstar would probably be ticked at Bear for allowing her son to be injured, this might mean a good outcome for Insigniakit. Perhaps he would become Leader someday!

  • Insigniakit's tail bobbed from side to side happily. "I don't know, but I'm proud! I have to show Mommy!"
