    sunheart then picked up the mouse and carried it to the nursery.

    wingkit coughed as he got to the nursery "h-h-hi mom" he mewed then sneezed

    not him to, loudheart on second thought go fetch sunheart. seedcatcher said.


    sunheart set the mouse outside the entrance and then turned back to the fresh kill pile.

    loudheart nodded and walked out of the nursery. she spotted sunheart and called to her.

    Veritydream returned to camp with a sparrow and two mice hanging in her mouth.

    Mocha woke up from a bad dream, and padded outside. He nodded to Veritydream when she came back from hunting.

    wingkit's coughing loudheart said. she pricked her ear to the warriors den i think groundshredder is to.

    sunheart sighed thanks loudheart she said. i hope no one else starts the whole clan might get sick. she bounded to the nursery and slipped in. she sniffed wingkit and by his smell she could tell whitecough. come on wingkit she said your going to stay with me.

    groundshredder slipped out of the den and walked to the medicine cats den. by the way he coughed he guessed he had whitecough.

    Mocha watched Groundshredder as he walked to the medicine cat den. He narrowed his eyes as he heard him coughing. He already knew that Wingkit and Lightkit were coughing, and he was worried that the sickness was already spreading to the warriors.

    sunheart picked up wingkit and carried him to her den. she was surprised to see groundshredder their.


    groundshredder nodded to sunheart then started to cough.


    by the smell of him she guessed he had whitecough as well. she set wingkit next to lightkit and told groundshredder to sit down next to them. he surprisingly obeyed. sunheart then raced over to mocha. mocha she panted. the three of them have whitecough.

    sunheart nodded i'm sure and the catmint was stolen off the plant so i'm running out here.

    "Stolen?" he shook his head. "We might have to ask another clan for help, though I don't like the idea."

    Mocha nodded. "If you'd like, I could take one or two warriors with me and search for some catmint." he suggested. "We can't let it spread."

    yes that would help. she coughed then cleared her throut. i don't want you catching this eather she said. and i'm afraid that something will happen to lightkit. she wispered.

    "It will be okay." Mocha assured Sunheart, though in his heart he thought it very likely that they would all die from the disease. "I'll go get Dawnfeather and another warrior who doesn't have Whitecough." he told her, padding off to round up the warriors he had chosen.
