Lynxpaw lie awake on the den floor. The rest of the apprentices seemed fast asleep and their heavy breath hung in the air. Carefully, she rolled over and got to her feet. She silently got to her feet and began to make her way to the door.

"What are you doing," Frostpaw asked sleepily.
-
Lynxpaw almost jumped at the sound of the other cats voice. "uuumm... I need to use the dirtplace."
-
"Lynxpaw, if you are sneaking out, let me come too. I haven't stretched my legs in moons!"
-
Lynxpaw smiled. "frostpaw, your the best!" she beckoned with her tail and slipped out of the den.
-
Frostfeather followed Lynxpaw outside.
-
The cool night air was crisp and leaves crunched underpaw. The wind blew over the moor softly and she stood at the top of the hill to
taste the breeze. No cats. -
Frostpaw wadded into a nearby pool of water. She caught a fish and dragged it back. " Here, we need it."
-
Lynxpaw was surprised at her fishing skills. "Hey, that was a pretty good catch. Thanks!" she took it in her jaws. the river was just up ahead and past it, Riverclan territory.
-
"I hope no one sees us," Lilacpaw meowed.
-
Lynxpaw flicked her tail, a little worried herself. "They won't. I mean, probably not anyway. It's the middle of the night." It didn't help with the constant wind carrying their scent and the lack of protection on the moor.

The river loomed ahead. "we made it." the territory began to slop down and small bushes were growing near the water. Lynxpaw raced down the slope and plunged into the water.
-
Frostfeather swam under the water, only coming up for breath when it was needed.
-
She smiled, glad to see a cat who shared her love for water. She kicked onto her back and floated.
-
Frostfeather went into the water, and dove to the bottom. There, she found something wierd, so she went back to the surface and told Lynxpaw.
-
Lynxpaw's head pooped out of the water. "Where is it?"
-
"Under a rock, but part of it is sticking out."
-
Lynxpaw got out of the river and bent down. "Weird!"
-
Frostfeather tried moving the rock, and moved it an inch.
