    IC: "That is, if you want to look for more food. We have a leftover steak somewhere that someone has probably dug up by now or some scraps from breakfast," said Kora.

    Flare acknowledged kora with a small nod "I should really be the one apologizen to you kit that dog was my responisbility see my parents abandoned me in the junkyard and I have been livin with dogs ever since guess you just pick up things if you live with dogs for so long I was lettn the dog out for a run and you happened to walk right into his path" flare explained guiltily "sorry"

    ooc: it's been nice so far, we're going to the water park in the west edmonton mall this after noon.


    ic: " it's ok " she said looking around tying to remember where she burried her steak.

    "The dogs aren't terrible here really," said Kora, "They're actually pretty good about leaving us be. Things happen, and the kit isn't dead, so let sleeping dogs lie. Pun intended."

    Flare clicked her tounge and a dog bounded over flare gave it a look and it sat tail curled around its paws "this is how I avoid the nastiest dogs get one of them to protect me doesn't mean I can't fight one every now and again" flare barked something and the dog retreated

    Kora flicked her tail around the kit. "Nothing to worry about kiddo. I promise that nothing will hurt you as long as I'm around."

    "Let's see," said Kora thoughtfully, "I think there is a new shipment of garbage coming from uptown today. That's the wealthiest district in the area, so I think we should start heading over to see if there is anything good we can find."

    Flare looked up and narrowed her eyes "why in the world would you go up there that place is full of snobby kittypets" she mewoed cooly with only the faintest hint of a snarl

    "Not the actual district. Just the garbage drop off. Perhaps we can get a good trade out here," she said. The black market in the area was a lifeline for most cats that depended on a lack of food. The better stuff you can find, the better stuff you get in return.

    Flare shrugged 'do what you want got somewhere to be seeya kid" she meowed and dissappeared into the junkyard

    "Adios Flare. See you around," said Kora, "Come on kid, let's get over to the fresh shipment area."

    After walking for half an hour, Kora climbed to the top of a mound and overlooked the area. "We are almost there," she said,"But it looks like we aren't the only ones." Other cats were already digging through the garbage, pulling out the best items.


    "Hurry. We are one of the first ones there." She ran over to the mound of garbage. The items in the heap were expensive: jewelry, clothes, food, and even some medicine, all of which were hard to come by.


    "Grab what you think looks best and put it in here," said Kora, pulling up a bin on a broken skateboard.

    Ravenkit rummaged through the junk, " ow!" she wimperd after she triped and agold earring peerced her left ear.

    Kora came over and checked Ravenkit over. "Looks like you got something stuck in your ear. You don't look half-bad in it," she said, "Do you want me to take it out?"
