If I Die A Lonely Death, I'm Sure It's From The Cigarettes. I Smoked Each Day After You Left Me, Standing Alone.

The fog hung heavy in the air, today was especially humid. Out of the brambles, a coal grey she-cat stumbled out. Her light blue eyes were lined with tears and her breath in pants. She had been running, she needed to get away for a while. The leader of Drowningclan needed a breather and what better place to have one then under the green willow tree.

Finalstar crouched under the dangling branches and blinked very slowly. A tear silently hit the earth and she wiped it up with her large paw. Why am I still so alone?

She had started her clan to find others like her, others that had been persecuted for their opinions. No one could ever tell her what to believe. However, she still felt like no one understood her.
"Alone for the rest of my days, with no one but my mind to speak to."
She murmered her words and lashed her tail on the ground.

  • Thunderfire had been wading around in the creek, teaching his apprentice, Jadepaw, some RiverClan maneuvers, and managing to look like a decent fool, when he saw he outline of a lone cat, hunched under a drooping willow. Who's that? And why is it all alone? he wondered. "That's enough training for today, Jadepaw." he told his apprentice warmly. "Well done. You may go back to camp and rest." The she-paw nodded happily and sprinted back towards Camp. Swimming strongly across the river, Thunderfire thought, I hope nothing's wrong with the cat. he climbed out of the river and shook his pelt out lightly. "Hello?" he called.

  • Completely awakened by the voice, Finalstar cocked her head towards the clanner.
    "Greetings?"
She didn't know what to say, she never did when meeting strangers. Shaking paws and all, she stood up and stared at him. Where was he from?
Sure, he smelled strange, but the leader couldn't perfectly place where he was from.

  • A all grey tom was in a clearing close to the camp, he was nice and sweet. He nnoticed the leader.

    "Hey"

  • Another voice sounded behind Finalstar. Snaping around, her eyes lay upon another tom. He was grey, like her, yet he seemed to be much more layed back than the leader of Drowninclan.

    "Another one.."

Her emotions were violently moving about. First, a wish for a tom. Then many toms at once. What on earth was going on here.

    Am I really that attractive?

  • OOC: Ack, sorry! It didn't show up as "new."

IC:"Hi." he said again, louder, even though he knew the gray she-cat could hear him. "What's your name?" he asked curiously.

  • Two voices at once were begging for her attention. Finalstar could smell each of the tom's curiosity.

She turned to the grey cat.

"One, no one who has ever called me 'Lil Lady' has ever gotten anything useful out of me."

Blinking a couple of times, she turned to Thunderfire and back to the other.

    "Two, my name is Finalstar."

Head held high, she seemed to challenge their every action.

  • A laugh escaped Finalstar's jaws.

"I'm sorry, but your way of speaking..It's quite odd to me."

She brought her paw to her mouth and took a quick lick.

    "Thanks for the compliment though."

  • Thunderfire tilted his head. "Oh, nice to meet you, Finalstar." he purred a little. "Your name is one of a kind." he praised her.

  • Locking eyes with Thunderfire, she returned a purr.

    "Thank you, it sure is."

She kneeded the ground and looked back at Fang.

    "Yes, of Drowningclan."

  • Thunderfire was intrigued by her startling eyes as she looked at him. It sent a thrill of fear, and yet, excitement coursing through him. This she-cat was surely mysterious. And he loved to explore mysteries... "Finalstar?" he called again, seeing her turn away from him. Don't turn from me! "What Clan do you lead? I've never heard of you before."

  • "Drowningclan, we live in a ditch."

She said it like she should be proud, yet it was not a lovely place to live compared to the main clans.

Finalstar sighed and looked at the foggy sky.

"Drowning in the middle of the fog and the world."

  • She quickly strod a few fox-lengths away and looked sternly at them.

"But we are not weak, nor are we looking for trouble."

True, they would probably never attack Drowningclan, Finalstar couldn't be certain. You never knew what went on in a cat's head, or what they might be plotting.

    "So don't mess with me."
