"What are you talking about? Our warrior anscestors will approve." Coonshadow reussured her.
Lionkit was sent tumbling.
"What are you talking about? Our warrior anscestors will approve." Coonshadow reussured her.
Lionkit was sent tumbling.
"Yeah, perhaps." Airshadow replied, still unsure. "But what about Dirtface? He's among the spirits."
"You never know where he was sent." Coonshadow meowed. "He could have gone to StarClan or.." he shivered, "the Dark Forest. And besides, its one opinion against many."
"True," Airshadow admitted, feeling relaxed. "Should we tell our kits about Dirtface?"
Coonshadow nodded. "The sooner they know, the better." he meowed darkly.
Airshadow purred as she shrugged.
"Come on." Coonshadow meowed, and gestured to the kits.
Spottedkit continued to play fight with her littermates.
Airshadow smiled and got up.
"Kits!" Coonshadow called. "Come over here!"
Lionkit and Sootkit looked up from playing and trotted over to their parents.
Spottedkit got up, shook some dirt off her fluffy pelt, and padded over to Coonshadow.
"Kits, your mother and I have something to tell you about." Coonshadow meowed. He motioned for Airshadow to tell.
Spottedkit waited for her mother to say something.
"Well..." Airshadow was lost in words. "You see, kits, your father and I had quite an adventure before you were born. But we didn't really adventured alone. You see, there was another tom, interfering with us. His name was...Dirtface."
Coonshadow scowled at the name.
Sootkit's eyes widened. "Continue, mommy!" he pleaded.
"Who's Digface?" Spottedkit wondered outloud.
"Dirtface," Airshadow corrected. "Before I meet Coonshadow, I was in love with Dirtface, but there was one problem, he was ThunderClan."
"And so was I!" Coonshadow interuppted. "But I gave up my Clan for your mother. And trust me, it was worth it." he purred, nuzzling Airshadow.
"It's true," Airshadow added.
"How did you fall in love with Dirtface?" Spottedkit asked.
"Moons ago, there was an earthquake. It separated me from my Clan. I was so scared as a tried to find my way home. A boulder was about to crash on me. That was when Dirtface came and pushed me to safety. He saved my life, and helped me return home."
"Mommy do you love me??" the little kit says.
"Of course I do," Airshadow purred to Coonkit. "I love you all.
"Anyways, I felt a strange feeling over Dirtface. We both fell in love. We secretly meeted each other and it felt like a gift from StarClan when we meet each other at the Gatherings. But then, something happened..."
"What happened?!?!!!" coonkit asked very entrested.
"He grew a new ambition." There was a pang of sadness in her voice. "Dirtface wanted to become a loyal warrior. He lost interest with me. He broke up with me just to remain loyal to ThunderClan."
