  • "Wait, Dawnkit! D-do you want to, um, go on a hunting p-patrol?" He leapt up and chased after the pretty kit, hopefully asking for her to give him a second chance.... "Please?"

  • Danwkit turned and she looked at him, "No I don't want to. Besides my mother will worry about me!" She started once again walking to camp.

  • ((Sorry for late reply, bombarded wih school and lost thread))

"Please.... Let me show you...." His black coat shimmering, red socks burning and white toes shining, Magmakit turned and walked further into the lush forest, throwing Dawnkit a beckoning glance

  • Dawnkit ran into the camp, she ran right to her mother. "Missy, where have you been!?!" she scolded before picking up Dawnkit.

  • Magmakit sighed deeply, a thick tear rolling down his cheek. He'd blown it, again. He wandered on through the forest, the dappled sunlight warming his oily pelt. He didn't care how far he walked, until he realised that the border was miles behind him....

  • The kit froze, realising he had no idea where he was or what was out there.... He trembled uncontrolably and whimpered at every movement; a mouse scurrying through the undergrowth, a bird taking wing and a ferocious loner approaching him with dreaded purpose....

  • Dawnkit ran to one of the warriors, "Something is terriblely wrong!!" "What?" the warrior asked. "Magmakit didn't come back to camp!! He was supossed to be here a long time ago!"

  • The tall loner bent low, sniffing him curiously. She was cool, not warm like his mother. The gorgeous she-cat had silver bengal fur with a snowy white belly, muzzle, legs and tail tip. He summoned the courage to look her in the eye.... in the dazzling, amethyst eye.
"What is your name, kit?" Her voice rang like a bell and echoed through the forest.
"M-m-magmakit...." He couldn't tear himself away from thos eyes. They were deep, like a void and sparkled like purple jewels. They were beautiful and seemed to peer into his soul, judging him by all his rights and wrongs.

  • The warrior nodded and called two others, "Do not, Dawnkit, we'll find him," he said running out of camp with the others.

  • "Ah, you must be of HawkClan, no? You're a long way from home - why? What's troubling you?" He felt he could talk to this kind she-cat so he told her all about him and Dawnkit and eventually, after he finished, she gave him a good peice of advice; "Go into the forest, take to this Dawnkit some wild flowers and some fresh-kill when you return to camp, apologise formally to her, be a gentleman and take her into a nice clearing with a stream to sit and talk. Now then, your camp should be roughly.... Thataway" He thanked her for the directions and advice and trotted onwards, picking a few sweet-smelling flowers and catching a plump young mouse before heading home....

  • The warrior sniffed around, "That way!" he meowed and headed in Magmakit's direction.

Dawnkit sat by herself and sighed, "I shouldn't of been so mean! I mean, I guess I would've lied like that too, but it made me upset." then she growled at herself, "Now look! I'm talking to myself!"

  • Magmakit heard the familiar voices warriors who were clearly searching for him. He hastily dropped the flowers and mouse into a clump of deceptive ferns and crouched low in the undergrowth

  • The warriors stopped and sniffed, "I smell him, but where is he? He must be close!" one said. "Forget it! Let the mouse-brained kit find his own way back!" a dark tabby said. "And what will we tell his mother. Oh and the leader. Besides Dawnkit would be terribly mad at us if we didn't fin him!" The dark tabby growled, "Who cares!" "I do, Bramblethorn!" The dark tabby, Bramblethorn, smirked, "You're just a-" A light colored she-cat broke in "Knock it off! The both of you! We need to split up if we wanna find him. Now Bramblethorn you go that way," she meowed, pointing her tail to the left, "And, Lightningstrike, that way," then pointed to the right. Both the warriors went where they were supossed to go. The she-cat sat down and looked in the direction of Magmakit, "I know you're there..." she meowed, steppng foward.

  • "N-no you don't! I'm an illusion, a figment of your imagination!" He shuffled his paws and tightly shut his eyes, wishing the she-cat away

  • "Just come out. It'd be easier for both us," the she-cat meowed. "How about I intoduce myself? I'm Soulfeather. You are Magmakit, right? I've seen you around camp before, talking with who was it? Oh, yes, Dawnkit!"

  • He slowly emerged from the bracken "Soulfeather? How much trouble am i in this time?" his head drooped and he couldn't meet the warrior's gaze

  • Soulfeather shook her head, "You're not in trouble." then she sniffed the kit, "Although, you smell of mouse and...wild flowers? Magmakit, what are you up to?" then she nudged the kit playfully, "Is it for Dawnkit?" she joked.

  • He twitched his tail playfully and purred in a silky tone "Maybe.... That depends on whether she'll accept them" He gave a small wink and sat up straighter
