YOU LIVE IN OHIO?! I'm in New Jersey. TRY AND FIND ME NOW. -Quickly fist-bumps back-
NUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!! MY SECRET LAYER HAS BEEN REVEALED!
-Stops and clears throat-
I mean.. yes, I live in Ohio ^^ And may I say, THE FREAKIN' WEATHER SUCKS D:<
Where I live, the weather is perfect, except in fall.
In winter there's lots of snow - and I mean it. I made a huge undersnow tunnel in winter and four snowmen. And it's in the capital city - in the countryside there's snow like in Siberia. Sad that we don't have huge mountains, but, it's okay.
In spring it is becoming bright and sunny, the leaves are sprouting, everything is beautiful and lovely, the wonderful aroma from all the flowers and trees... mmm....
In summer... it's the best. Everything is sunny, very warm, for students especially, since there's no school for whole three months. All the beaches are sandy, exceptions are rare. Beautiful, sandy beaches with warm sea water... I can't wait summer. Everything is green, and there are sometimes thunderstorms, but everything is so lush and beautiful that it isn't that important.
The fall.. well... it gets darker and colder, however, there are those beautiful days when you walk down the alleyway, and all the trees around you have their leaves slowly falling off, those beautiful red leaves all around... pretty...
And that's the only thing good about my country. It's like, russians are invading you and demography is awful, most people in your country are old people, people are driving away from your country to Ireland and the politicians are really bad, but, hey! You can't complain! You have awesome weather!
-Sigh- One place in the world that's not effected by global warming. I WANNA GO THERE.
But of course America has the hamburgers, so...
Heh, yeah, the weather here is great. I haven't seen ANY signs of the so-called 'global warming'. Maybe that's why I'm so passive in supporting global activists - I just don't see any warming where I live. Winter 2011 was the best winter ever - snow was in such a thick layer that hasn't been seen in ~20 years.
We also have no risk of earthquakes, tornadoes, tsunamis, volcanoes, and whatnot. Completely safe. Also, there is only one mildly poisonous snake which is kinda rare. Nature-wise it is awesome. Yet, none of the politicians have ever thought to use it for tourism. -.- and they complain about the lack of money.
Bleh. I hate burgers of any kind, I just don't find them tasty. BUT GIMME ALL YOU FRENCH-FRIES! I luv 'em.
In America there is. I think it got up to 110˚F in the summer(EXTREMELY RARE. IT BROKE RECORDS.), and I'm saying this in U.S customary so, sorry. In US costumery that's really hot. Plus, we had ZERO snow storms and about 2 or 3 puny snow falls that didn't even last a day.... Plus, in March it was really warm and I'm scared. So I have proof it does exist.
Oh, but what makes it better is there's an awesome burger place called Bella's Burgers and their french fries and hamburgers kick butt.
Ah, don't worry. If something happens, you can just drive fly an awfully long way to where I live. Heh.
Where I live, once {2010, if I'm correct} there was a snowless winter, it was death-cold though. Then there were some activists which screamed that 'global warming is comin', we're all gonna diee!!!' and then the year after that they must've wanted to bury themselves under that meter of snow that fell from the sky.
BTW; our summers are about maximum 35-38C in July {searches for a converter} and that is 95-100.4F but that is for only a week or even only a day. Usually it keeps between 66.2F to 82.4F.
Oh, sh**! I just converted those crazy Fahrenheits you gave me! 43C! That's like death! Didn't you die out there? I think even the water at our sea would've boiled!
Well, no, but I felt dizzy and I was at camp so it sucked even more. :(
Here in the upper Midwest winters = deathly cold winds and snow, usually the low is around 0 to - 20 degrees Fahrenheit. Summers are so beautiful and warm, right now it's around 70 degrees F average for the week temps. Spring is so nice, I plant a garden annually. Nothing tastes better then home-grown vegetables!
We do the same! Well, my family does. NJ is nicknamed The Garden State, after all. The lettuce is already ready to harvest.
I just planted yesterday. ^^
Cool. :)
Yup! ![]()
In our country the people on country side, obviously, do it more. People in cities, like my mother, who is a businesswoman {very successful, otherwise I wouldn't be here in front of a computer, talking with ye} who works herself to the bone and barely has time for us {which, frankly, I feel glad about} can't because of the lack of the time. Since you have to work yourself to the bone to get close to any kind of money, little amount of people have time to plant anything, except old people {which are like half of the country's population}
I myself have the 'brown fingers', that is, I can't plant anything. ANYTHING I plant, be it the simplest, toughest plant in the world, it dies.
Hey! I was just thinking, and well, I thought a bit, and I realized that my country is smaller than the state of new york. I think. I'll check it up.
Woah. We live in a two story house with a Mac computer, flat screen TV and an awesome yard in the subarbs. Not to pry, but what country do you live in?

Exactly the way we live. Only that I don't like macs, I'm the only one in our family that has a PC. My family is not poor, we count as 'really rich'. Our mother works herself to the bone from 8AM to 8PM for twenty+ years in a very high position to earn enough to keep us up. That's why she is with one leg in a grave, her health is completely destroyed because she overworks herself.
Oh, and I live in Latvia. Eastern Europe. Once occupied by, like, every other country in the world, heh. My mother expects much from me, she said she'll give everything she has to get me in Harvard {or something like that} and get me in US. I hope that happens, because I really don't want to live where I live now. Although, everybody says that I won't get there, rarely people from my country get ANYWHERE. I so envy you.
By the way, I just found a comparison chart - Latvia is about the size of West Virginia.
Yeah, we count as "middle class". And, I'm sorry about your mom! That must suck. Your mother so busy and living in a low-class country, I mean, my older brother who 'suffers'(Atleast that's what my mother says) from learning disabilites, like ADHD doesn't do well in school, and has c's and sometimes b's. He doesn't realize how lucky he is to live in the US, where he can go to a nice-ish college even with his set-back an have a good career and make money. And, the size of West Virginia?! That's just sad.
Yeah, and I've got the richest parent {yes, a 'parent', my dad is a lazy bum who does nothing} in class, so, middle-class in my country means living in a poor-condition two-room flat with huge credits and so on.
Yeah. My mother was definitely born in the wrong family. I mean, if she'd be born in US and worked herself the way she has worked herself now, I guess she'd be a millionaire at least. She was so angry that I didn't get in the best school of my country, she said I had ruined my life, and I know that I'll regret not studying harder. Yet, when I think about it, if I would study harder, then I wouldn't have so much time in internet, so I wouldn't learn English so well. However, she calmed down when I entered {with very high chances that I'll get in} the 2nd best school. However, the second best is still only the second best.
It is said that there are only two good things in Latvia : it's the nature, and the girls. I told you about nature, and well, since I'm heterosexual, I'm not really interested in the girls. Which are actually very pretty indeed.
BTW; Is the West Virginia small?
