  • Lemonpaw's ivy-green eyes widened and she meowed "Woah!" She leaped to her paws and gasped "That was great!" She then smiled and meowed "Want to see one I made?"

  • Winterpaw purred at Ashpaw's compliment. Then the white she-cat jumped back and decided to watch the two toms at a distance not wanting to get in the way. Winterpaw sat down licking her paw and running it over her ear as she watched her gold eyes easily showed curiousity in them.

  • Brokenpaw nodded, eager to show off some of his mentors training to the other apprentices. "Sure!" he told Ashpaw as he turned to face the tomcat. "Here's a good one. Willowpelt said it's called the front paw blow, or something like that." he meowed as he shifted most of his body weight onto his backpaws, his front ones rising up off of the ground. Then, suddenly, he shifted all of his weight back onto his front paws and aimed to hit Ashpaw square in the head with the paws, but not at full force, of course.

Ashpaw tried to jump away, and the paw chopped down on his snout, and his head snapped down, his chin hitting the ground. He lay stunned for a moment, before getting up.
"Darn it! Should've seen that coming!" He growled. "Halfclaw taught me something like that too." He meowed. "I'll get you next time though! How bout you try that again?" He was invigorated now, ready to redeem his damaged pride.

  • Winterpaw couldn't help but smile at Ashpaw's determination. She layed down watching with interest at the two toms the tip of her white tail twitched occasionally.

  • Lemonpaw sat down and scratch her delicate ear. Her tail twitched back and forth with a small smile on her face.

Brokenpaw shrugged. "Sure," He meowed, shifting all of his body weight onto his backpaws once more. Then, he brought his front paws down again, aiming for Ashpaw's head. He knew the tom was going to dodge or something, but he would go along with it. Since, after all, he knew this was all just some way Ashpaw was going to prove himself to the other apprentices.

  • Ashpaw was determined to do better than just dodge. He squared his shoulders and got ready. When he saw Brokenpaw's forepaw come down, he aimed to grab it between his front paws, twisting it so that Brokenpaw would fall over, unhurt, but vulnerable.

  • Lemonpaw's ivy-green eyes were wide. She noticed how cunning he was. If he did that Brokenpaw's stomach was very vulnerable, while he was still in shock. She purred and meowed "Nice thinking!" Her whiskers twitched slightly and she kept watching the toms.

  • Then, Brokenpaw felt a sudden force land and grip his paws, then begin to twist them. Smirking slightly, He began to twist his paws the other way, attempting to counter the attack, tensing up his backleg muscles and unleashing his backpaw's claws.

Ashpaw growled, at first trying to counter the other apprentice's strength, but then had a different idea, and let his paw go, twisting his front leg around to try and push Brokenpaw down, hoping the force of him pushing after he had let go, combined with the force of Ashpaw shoving from behind, would knock him over.

  • Brokenpaw, whoms gaze was locked on what he was doing, did not notice Ashpaw's lashed out backleg until it was to late. He fell onot the ground, back first so his stomach would he exposed. But, his front paws were still locked with the other apprnetice's. So, Brokenpaw readied his back and front paws to kick the apprentice off when and if he attempted to pin him down.

  • Lemonvine stared in awe as the tom made their own moves. She then shook her head and just gazed with a cool gaze. She smirked and thought Wow, so toms do have brains! She laughed slightly at that.

Ashpaw made as if he was about to pin the tom, rearing up to crash down on him, but he leaped nimbly to the side, and pulled Brokenpaw with him, aiming to send the other apprentice sprawling to the ground.

A ways away, Halfclaw had taken note of the match, and watched, ears pricked with interest. Stripeheart limped casually over, walking funny on her bad back leg, as she always had. She saw flashes of grey, black and white fur.
    "What's going on?" She meowed.
"They're just practicing." Growled Halfclaw. She was secretly proud of her apprentice, but her stone-cut expression did a good job of hiding it, her scars across her snout bunching up as she wrinkled her nose.
"Ugh, what is that smell?" She grumbled. Stripeheart looked suddenly nervous.
"Oh, er, I fell in a wild onion patch. Bad leg gets me every now and then." She mewed, putting on a simple tone.

  • Brokenpaw reared up his backlegs, about to kick Ashpaw in the stomach with them, before he was jerked to the side. With a small snarl, he kicked out his backpaws and aimed to kick the other tomcat away with a blow to the stomach.

  • Lemonpaw's ears twitched slightly as she felt voices get caught by the breeze. She slightly turned her head from the toms and spotted the senior warriors. She wondered if her mentor was here...he barely was. Ghostspirit was complete opposite from her. Silent, respectful, noble, and yet very annoying. They both had the same ivy colored eyes but Lemonpaw had a bright golden pelt while his pelt was as pale as a true ghost. She sighed and turned her head back to the toms.

  • Winterpaw stood up a little having a feeling this was about to get more violent and serious. She watched the toms movement in case one became aggressive.

  • Ashpaw felt the blow and sprang away, crouching, panting for a moment, invigorated by the mock-fight. "You're pretty good." He breathed, crouching, his fluffy, black smoke pelt ruffled. He gave Brokenpaw a moment to get up and regain himself as well.

  • Lemonpaw noticed Winterpaw's worried expression and also thought that they were getting a bit rough too. She narrowed her eyes but kept watching in silence.

  • Brokenpaw nodded, scrambiling to his paws. "Your pretty good too." he panted back, preparing himself for another attack from Ashpaw.
