She stood up shakily and murmered " M-my mentor died." she let out a long low wail of grief and started to cry again.

A wolf came along. "Who's your mentor?"

"Tigerheart! Oh my dearest friend. I'm Ryker, I suppose I'm your mentor now?" Ryker said. "Isn't that what Tigerheart wanted?"

Tilted head to side and said slowly " Yes but how do u knowhis dieng wish?" Gasped. "Are u a spy?" Hissed and arched back.

"No not at all, me and Tigerheart share a connection," Ryker barked.

How did you guys meet and how are you going to train me?

"We met when i was a young teen, that was when he was an apprentice," Ryker said. "And don't worry, i teach about the same way like Tigerheart does. But a little bit different."

Ripplepaw wiped away her tears and slowly stopped sobbing. She nodded her head and said " But you know the leader won't except you and will probably assign me another mentor."

"Don't worry, the leader knows me. I'm sure he'll accept me," Ryker said.

Said ok and padded back to camp.

Ripplepaw strode into the leaders den announcing Ryker as her new mentor. Not waiting for an answer from the leader she padded back to Ryker smiling. " So when do we begin?" She mewed excitedly.

"Right now," Ryker said.

"What r we doin??" She mewed glancing at the other cats seeing them look fearfully at Ryker. She sighed hating to have lost her old mentor.

"Hunting," Ryker said.

Ripplepaw nodded saying, "Lead the way my elder!" She giggled

"I'm not old!" Ryker muttered. "I'm only 10 1/2 moons old. Only 1 moon younger than Tigerheart." He walked into the trees.

"Sheesh!" Ripplepaw whispered to herself. " Where is the sense of humer on this thing?" She giggled looking him up and down as if searching for a humor switch on him. She thought for a moment and summed up that sh barely new this dog and he could be like some bionic pup!!

The wolf sniffed the air. Ryker saw two small figures not far from here. "Wait, i see some other cats. They look like they aren't from here."
