  • The young blue tortie point blinked as she dropped the small vole onto her paws, laying on her stomach a good few feet away from the fresh-kill pile. She never had much meat before, her tastes were more so into those good 'ol fish Riverclan was so famous for. However, she began thinking about what her secret Bloodclan friend Mercurypaw had told her only a few days ago.

"An' hey, fish is alright, but, like, you guys eat it way too much. Don't you get sick of it after a while?"

Sick of it, huh? Well nah, Swifty never got sick from fish, it was her absolute fave. However, the curious kit was always up for a challenge. With a slight grimace, she leaned her head forward, tearing her small teeth into it's thigh.

  • Silentwitness had been making her usual rounds; her first time out since her kittens were born. As well as Swiftkit, the lilac-silver tabby did like an entree of fish quite often. It seemed like yesterday when she and her half sister were out fishing, and the warrior had missed the fish three times before catching a pathetic minnow.

Today Silentwitness was attempting to fish, dipping her paw into the icy water. The ice had long broken since the unusual warmup. As she hooked one with her short claw, the lilac-silver tabby caught sight of a young kitten. "Hello! Who are you?"

  • The young femme's nose scrunched up in a scowl, her eyes closing tightly as her lips curled in utter disdain. "Nasssttyy!" Swifty gagged, spitting out the fur that stuck to the saliva on her tongue - how could anyone eat this crap?

Smacking her lips uncomfortably, the adopted daughter of Cougareyes and Soliloquypaw grunted as she tried to rid herself of the awful taste, ears suddenly pivoting as a familar voice echoed in her ears. Startled, the blue tortie point diverted her gaze over her shoulder. "Nessy?!"

Oh yes, the young trouble maker had always kept tabs up in Riverclan. This chick was the mate of her friend, Rangerflash - and therefore she was automatically her friend as well. Replacing her scowl with a giddy sneer, Swiftkit trotted over with pep in her step. "Heya! Whatcha up to?"

  • A nickname was now dubbed to Silentwitness, Nessy. The lilac-silver tabby let it flow over her tongue, testing the sound of it. She too could not even take a guess as to why other felines even bothered touching animals with fur. Gross.

"Nessy? Do you mean me?" Yet the warrior barely knew Swiftkit, hardly even knew she inhabited RiverClan. But Silentwitness' impression of her was decent, a cute one as well. Not nearly as much enthusiasm was put in her strut, but it was an attempt. You had to give Silwit that.

"Not much. You?" Indeed, Silentwitness was the mate of Rangerflash. How was she at all familiar other than that one tie?

  • A toothy smirk slithered along the she-kit's lips as Silentwitness spoke, whiskers twitching in amusement. "Yeah, you're Nessy!" Swifty meowed, cocking her head to the side before briefly rasping her small salmon tongue along her chest. "Nothin' much, just trying out some fresh-kill other then fish. And gosh, it's nasty."

  • "I like that."

Silentwitness let a smile dance across her maw, attempting not to laugh at the kitten's high amount of spunk. This would definitely be a feline she liked, even if Swiftkit had only came on by for the reason of her being the mate of Rangerflash. "I know, it's gross isn't it?"

The silvered lilac tabby had earlier eaten a meal of squirrel, and before she took her second mouthful of the meat it was spit out. Yuck! The warrior noticed the cattish smirk on her friend's face, and almost wanted to tell her to wipe it off.

  • With lapis blue eyes glittering with a fathoming aspect, she nodded her head in understanding. “I think I’d rather eat carrion food!” Swiftkit spat with a suggestive snicker, inclined ears arching forward. She probably wouldn’t have. . . But that was for her to know, and Nessy to, dot dot dot. But let’s save one for the road, eh?

“Anywho~” The blue tortie hummed a small note, making herself comfortable in her lanky position, gnawing on her bottom lip like a fool before flicking a twig off her soft pelt. Returning her attention towards Silentwitness, Swiftkit mused. “Whatcha’ doin’ here?”

  • "Me too," the warrior spoke, a glitter in her orbs as she glanced from the kitten to the overcast and darkening sky. The lilac silver tabby twirled her paw around, curious as to what else to say. It was going to downpour soon and the two needed to make themselves clear of the rain.

"Not much; just hanging out because I have no other place to be," Silentwitness explained, tilting her head slightly. "But it's going to rain soon, have you noticed the sky?" A growl of thunder rumbled far in the distance.
