    Birdsong closes her eyes. "I think his choice is pretty clear, Whisperingbreeze."

    Birdsong blinks in surprise. "Why?" she asks slowly, narrowing her eyes at her friend in confusion. "You like him, don't you? Besides, why in StarClan would he ever want a tiny half-Clan tortoiseshell who whistles like a bird and complains about all the loss in her life? Spare me your worries; just ask him already," Birdsong sighs, lying down and rolling over, the starlight glistening on her dappled pelt.

    Birdsong glares at teh strange she-cat. "Go away," she hisses. "This isn't between you and us! Why in StarClan would Darkfur pick you? You're acting like you're StarClan's greatest gift to the forest, and you speak like a Twoleg kittypet would. Are you even a Clan cat?"

    I have a diary in here but if anybody looks in it I will give them certain death

    ME?!?!" hisses in fury "YOU DARE INSULT ME LIKE THAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

    Birdsong looks at her calmly. "You're so confident that you're drowning in your own self-love," Birdsong mews coolly. "If you don't believe me, step back for a moment and look at yourself. It's true."

    Birdsong hisses angrily. "It doesn't mean you deserve everything you want!" she yowls, leaping to her paws. "I want my family back! I want my old life back! I want the other Clans to shut their jaws about my background! None of that's going to happen. But what I want most of all is Darkfur's love, and obviously I can't get that because some snooty reborn cat is going to take him!" Birdsong's ears twitch and then she pelts away, launching herself into the river so they cannot follow.

    Fur on back rases and starts to hiss "You dare insult me anymore half clan i will slit your throat!!!!!!!!"
