  • I need a semi-advanced mentor who is willing to train Scorpiokit...She hasn't become an apprentice yet but that would be the first step, her apprentice cermony. Here be her profile...

    Character Name: Scorpiokit-paw-song

    Gender: She-cat

    Age: Four Moons-Six Moons

    Clan: Shadowclan

    Rank: Kit-Paw

Appearance: A small kit with sandy coloured fur and brown spots. The tip of her ears and tail are a reddish black, when attacking, Scorpiokit often holds her tail slightly above her head giving her the impression of a scorpion. She has large ears with tufts of fur on the tips and her tail is sleek and long. Her eyes are a dark green with an inner ring of bright green. Although young, Scorpiokit’s claws are already long and ivory in colour. She has a small and lither figure but as she grows she’ll become quite tall, however she will remain a slender she-cat at best.

Personality: Scorpiokit is usually a very quiet, polite and self contained kit. But like her name sake when she becomes aggravated or threatened Scorpiokit will quickly change into a hostile and poisonous cat with a ferocious temper. She holds her friends close to her heart and will only make one or two true friends in her life time. Scorpiokit will grow up to be a cunning and charismatic she-cat. Able to point out where things are going wrong and opt for a solution that will have things go in her favour, having nothing to lose and everything to gain.

History: Born to a ferocious loner, Scorpiokit was mistreated and bullied for the greater part of her kit-hood being the smaller kit in a litter of two. When she was nearly four moons old and becoming deathly sick her mother dragged her into the Carrion Place and left her. Deeming her not fit to live as she was too much of a hassle and not willing to fall into submission. Scorpiokit was found later that evening having wander just out of the Carrion Place in search of her mother, when the patrol first spotted her she was weak and unhealthy but still reacted to their presence by lifting getting to her feet with her tail above her head and growling. But she was too weak to retain her posture for very long and collapsed, leading the patrol to take her promptly back to camp.

  • OOC: Great! Are we just assuming that she’s become an apprentice now?

IC: Scorpiopaw bounded through camp, her green eyes sparked with colour and excitement. She’d just spent her first night in the apprentices den and now she was starting her training. She was so pleased she’d received her new name as well. She was proving herself to her loner mother with every step of her warrior journey. Holding her tail she scampered over to the warriors den and poked her head in the door.

“Tawnycloud! Is it time for training yet?!”

  • Tawnycloud had been lying awake since moonhigh until Scorpiopaw had come. She rose from her nest and stretched the sleep from her legs.

"We'll hunt today, I think. Unless you have any major objections.

  • Scorpiopaw shook her head violently, grinning and holding her tail high above her head like a scorpion. She didn’t have any problems with go hunting, no, not at all. Her redish-brown tail tip was thrashing backwards and forwards with anticipation as she bounced up and down. Her green eyes were dancing with excitement and she wished time would go faster so they could already be out in the woods hunting.

  • "Follow me! I know the best place, but we'll go to the Training Hollow first."

Tawnycloud trotted out of the camp. She was proud of her new apprentice; she was sure they'd make a great team one day in battle.

  • Scorpiopaw bounded after Tawnycloud, her small dark coloured paws hitting the ground and quickly sweeping into the air again. The Training Hollow? She wondered where that was and how long it took to get there. The small apprentice held her tail high in the air and looked up at her mentor in awe, it was sooo cool to have a mentor she decided.

“The Training Hollow? Is that where you’re going to teach me?” she asked, fur starting to fluff up in excitement .

  • "Yes! It's where I was taught, many moons ago..." Tawnycloud meowed wistfully as they trotted through the undergrowth. She was as nervous as her apprentice was excited, and didn't want to let her down.

  • ‘Wow,” Scorpiopaw echoed, it was hard to believe her mentor ever being an apprentice. It was like looking at a giant oak and trying to see how it all fit into a tiny little acorn. The she-cat padded along beside her mentor, taking in all the sights and smells with an open mind and wide green eyes. The frost under her paws crunched in the morning air and she sniffed at some wild flowers as the passed.

  • Tawnycloud purred to see her apprentice so wistful. It was best to savor the first days before you were engrossed with the elder's ticks!

They arrived at the hollow, "Here we are!"

  • OOC:Sorry, I had a low muse..Curse of the low muse strikes again.

IC:Scorpiopaw looked around in excitement. She could feel her paws tingling against the earth and her fur stood on end. She crouched low to the ground and bounced into the air, padding around the hollow and glancing around at all the new sights.

“This is awesome,” she half whispered, turning back to see Tawnycloud.

  • Tawnycloud had been sat with her tail rucked around her paws, watching her apprentice take it all in.
"I remember the first time my mentor took me here..." She meowed wistfully...

  • “Really? Did they teach you to hunt? To fight? Right here in this hollow?” the she-cat whispered, eager to begin her learning experience.

Scorpiopaw got into a hunters crouch quickly. Her belly scraped across the forest floor as she dragged herself towards her mentor. Her tail hung in the air above her head and the tip twitched in anticipation as she leaned forwards. Her sand coloured fur blended with the dirt of the hollow and although the posture was completely off, she did look rather elegant. Pausing, and as if sensing that she was being childish, Scorpiopaw pulled out of her crouch and looked around slightly embarrassed.

  • Scorpiopaw looked up at her Mentor shyly before repeating what she’d done before. The she-cat slid done towards the forest floor, lowering her belly so that it scraped across the dirt. Once she was entirely down, the small apprentice prowled forwards. Her tail straight up behind her like a scorpion about to strike. She paused for a few seconds and looked up at Tawnycloud, unsure of how to proceed.

    “Am I doing it right?”

  • The small she-cat nodded and prowled forwards again, making a conscious effort to keep her paw steps light. She padded slowly across the dusty training hollow and moved quietly back and forth across the large space. She felt slightly unbalanced though, trying to think to hard as she placed one paw in front of the other. Her tail stuck high in the air probably wasn’t helping anything either and she tried to pull it down as she moved. Sighing in frustration she looked up at Tawnycloud.

“I can’t get it right, I feel so unbalanced and all over the place.”
