  • Laconicpaw set himself farther away from them. He didn't feel like joining in. The gray tabby didn't want anyone to know his feelings for cute lil fluffy kits.

  • "Come on, Laconicpaw!" Brazenpaw said. How could he resist these cuties? She smiled mysteviasly as she whispered to the kits, "Go and meet my brother," while flicking her tail to Laconicpaw.

  • Laconicpaw sighed. "I just wanna sleep for awhile, Brazenpaw..." he mewed with tiredness. The tom couldn't keep up with his sister's hyperactivity.

  • Laconicpaw smiled inwardly. Finally, sleep! That seems to be the only thing missing when around Brazenpaw. The tom padded toward his den. "Come on, Brazenpaw!"

  • Brazenpaw finally got the sleep she wanted, and dreamed of kits of her own. Her love life was too much, she knew, but she couldn't get over it.

  • Laconicpaw yawned and woke up. With a pounce, he stretched himself to his full length, a handsome gray tabby. The tom looked to the sleeping shape of his sister.

  • Brazenpaw jumped up, ready to go exploring. But first, she decided, she would eat something. Her stomach growled as she sped past Laconicpaw, mewing, "Catch me if you can!"

  • "Would you guys pipe it down?" Groaned Kismetpaw from the Nursery, rubbing at her eyes as she padded out. She felt considerably like an elder when she said that, but it didn't bother her at the moment. "You'll wake everyone up with that racket." If only she'd been able to string more than an hour together of sleep. Everytime she'd felt the kits move, or thought she felt them move, she'd woken up.

  • "Oh, I'm so sorry," Laconicpaw apologized. He glared at his sister, but she just wasn't there anymore. Shuffling his paws awkwardly, he wondered where she could be.

  • "Ugh." Kismetpaw sighed, padding to the prey pile and grabbing something out of it. She wasn't hungry, but she'd eat anyway. She was never hungry nowadays. "Hey, I remember seeing you and your sister the other day in the Nursery, got family to visit?"

  • Laconicpaw shook his head. "Nah, Brazenpaw likes playing with the kits. She's just like that." The gray tabby then swung his head around, looking for his sister. Where did she run off to? Then he spotted her with Glacierpaw, and calmed down.

  • "Blech, she ought to go training more." Brazenpaw'd likely have kits soon enough after warriorship, then she could have all the fun with the like creatures all she wanted. "Just six moons going down the drain for me." And the waiting had to be the worst part. She just wanted them born, to see them.

  • The gray tabby nodded sadly, and let out a sigh. "Training should be first," he mewed. "You're right. When you're a warrior, you have all the time in the world."

  • She didn't even really want this litter, something she didn't want her father knowing. But even so she couldn't help but spill, it was something she'd been mum on. "Heheh, listen to me mourning the wrongs of the world when I don't even know your name! Mine's Kismetpaw, yours?"

  • "I'm Laconicpaw," he answered. "I've seen you around camp before." Whenever she had done it, his eyes had followed dreamily after her. The tom never knew he had feelings for anyone. Everything she had done was just so perfect...the way she walked, the way she talked, and even the way she smiled that smile that brightened up his day...
