  • "Storm!" screamed Acorndapple again, but she knew it was no use: her mate was dead. What would happen to her unborn kits? The loner dragged herself out on the bank of a river, exposed, and not caring if anybody saw her. Storm had died an honorable death, he had left saving her from a badger.

  • Lightning a golden Tom with icy blue eyes sees her and rushes over Are you ok? He asked

  • The she-cat turned her narrowed aqua eyes on him, but found it not nesisary, "If you call losing you entire world fine." Acorndapple sighed, sitting up to meet the tom's striking eyes.

  • He sat down beside her and said I'm sorry to hear that. His eyes looking into hers

  • "How would you feel if you were alone in this world needing care, but it turns out you were alone in the end," Acorndapple shook her head, swirling the water in the river around. She wouldn't tell this Tom about her coming kits yet, but he might have already noticed. Storm had only came to her a few times, too busy with his friends. Turns out he was with her the entire time and had saved her life. "By the way, I'm Acorndapple."

  • I do know how it feels. And I'm Lightning. He said sadly

  • She smiled sadly and murmered, "Storm was with me until the end. Do you want to hunt?" the she-cat was considering joining Thunderclan, and maybe Lightening would help her decide.

  • Sure just look out for the clans. He smiled at her

  • 'Are the Clans really that bad?' she wondered. All of a sudden Acorndapple remembered to tell him something, "Um I need to tell you something: I'm expecting kits so don't expect me to catch anything," The loner said flicking her tail across him nose good naturedly.

  • Congrats! And it's just that the clans don't like loners that much Snakeclan tolerates them a little better because they only attack if attacked otherwise they just ask them to leave. I'll catch us some food.

  • "What do I do? I'm not that useless!" Acorndapple laughed, standing up.

  • He laughed and said You can keep watch for clan cats for me.

  • "Alright," she said, sitting back down, when a mouse quickly scampered across her paws and she instinctively gave it a killing bite. "Told you so!" Acorndapple giggled with the Tom and she knew he liked her. She still had that yet to decide.

  • I'll be right back. He said with a chuckle

  • The she-cat nodded, daydreaming. And sure enough he was back in a few moments with a giant rabbit. "Smells great!" she said taking a bite and staring at him through the lake, it was like a mirror.

  • He smiled at her.

  • Acorndapple's different colored eyes sparkled at him: one silver, one aqua. "Are you ever lonely being a loner?" she was curious to find out.

  • He nodded and said yeah.

  • Acorndapple chose her words carefully, "Then don't ever leave me," she whispered looking into his eyes. :-*

  • He smiled at her and nodded then said I won't.
