(ok)
-
The horseback figure approached the castle, his eyes scanned the area around him.
Angelica looked at Irene. -
Sara looked out the window worriedly. She pulled a throwing knife from her boot.
-
Mortimer looked at the figure from his window. Something told him this wasn't another visit from a werewolf.
" We need to go upstairs. Now." Mortimer led the girls. -
Sara nodded quickly and went upstairs, peering down from the railing.
-
Angelica followed silently, and quickly.
-
Mortimer clasped his wounded shoulder as the four ran upstairs.
-
Sara looked at the figure through the distant window.
-
The four went into a hidden room behind a bookshelf. There was a one way window, they could see out but no one could see in.
" We should be safe for now..." Mortimer sighed. -
Sara looked outside worriedly. "You sure?" she asked with concern.
-
The figure latched a arrow dipped in blood to his bow and fired it, the arrow smashed through the window.
-
Sara dodged the arrow by a heartbeat. it landed directly to the right of her.
-
Mortimer's eyes widened as the arrow almost nicked his face. He turned to Sara.
" Not certain anymore." -
Sara nodded, eyes wide.
-
" Just stay away from the window. I don't anyone else's blood spilled." Mortimer pressed against the back wall, still clutching his wounded shoulder.
-
Sara nodded and pressed up against the cool, black wall.
-
Angelica pressed her back aganist the wall.
The figure fired another arrow this time with a note on it. -
Mortimer's amber eyes darted across the room, searching for some sort of weapon. He hadn't used that room in decades, no hunters ever came by the castle.
Suddenly, another arrow flew through the shatter window with a note. Mortimer picked it up and read it. -
The note read in a elegant script:
Hello Mortimer.
it simply said.
